Historia
They were the Savages. Raiders from our distant past. Elites who left Earth to create tailor-made utopias aboard the massive lighthuggers that crawled through the darkness between the stars. But the people they left behind on a dying planet didn't perish in the dystopian nightmare the Savages had themselves created: they thrived, discovering faster-than-light technology and using it to colonize the galaxy ahead of the Savages, forming fantastic new civilizations that surpassed the wildest dreams of Old Earth.

The best of Galaxies Edge.
Revisado: 09-14-22
This is, by far, the best of the Galaxies Edge books I have listened to. I can't say more than that. if you have struggled with the main story, as I have, then listen to this one. you won't regret it.

Historia
When Dr. Ayers uses the DNA of a long-dead alien life-form known as the Sansein, the Last Reaper finds himself caught up in an unprecedented situation. The Sansein, as it turns out, were not as extinct as Ayers originally believed. Possibly benevolent, definitely dangerous - these aliens are bound to react poorly to what has been done with their fallen kin. The life of a Reaper is never simple. The exodus fleet has old enemies that can’t be avoided for much longer. But those same enemies have a secret as well...and it just might save them all.

From the author of the award-winning Altered Carbon, which is now an exciting new series from Netflix. On a Mars where ruthless corporate interests violently collide with a homegrown independence movement as Earth-based overlords battle for profits and power, Hakan Veil is an ex-professional enforcer equipped with military-grade body tech that's made him a human killing machine. But he's had enough, and all he wants is a ticket back home - which is just what he's offered by the Earth Oversight organization, in exchange for being the bodyguard for an EO investigator.

Historia
The year is 2108, and the North American Commonwealth is bursting at the seams. For welfare rats like Andrew Grayson, there are only two ways out of the crime-ridden and filthy welfare tenements: You can hope to win the lottery and draw a ticket on a colony ship settling off-world...or you can join the service. With the colony lottery a pipe dream, Andrew chooses to enlist in the armed forces for a shot at real food, a retirement bonus, and maybe a ticket off Earth.

Revisado: 03-17-17
What made the experience of listening to Terms of Enlistment the most enjoyable?
The characters.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Terms of Enlistment?
First contact.
What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?
Mr. Daniels is a very good narrator and I have enjoyed his work in a number of books. The Iron Druid series for one.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It mostly just makes me sad. Mainly because I can see the real world in the story and feel the author has hit it dead on.
Any additional comments?
The story is good and the execution is good as well. Mr Daniels narration is as good as ever and I find him very easy to listen to. I definitely recommend this book and the series to anyone looking for a lengthy escape.

Historia
Hank is a thug. He knows he's a thug. He has no problem with that realization. In his view the galaxy has given him a gift: a mutation that allows him to withstand great deals of physical trauma. He puts his abilities to the best use possible and that isn't by being a scientist. Besides, the space station Belvaille doesn't need scientists. It is not, generally, a thinking person's locale. It is the remotest habitation in the entire Colmarian Confederation. There is literally no reason to be there.

Laughed out loud, got funny looks.
Revisado: 03-17-17
What made the experience of listening to Hard Luck Hank: Screw the Galaxy the most enjoyable?
The characters are ... mutants ... silly ... awesome!
What other book might you compare Hard Luck Hank: Screw the Galaxy to and why?
In terms of laugh out loud funny, perhaps some of Sir Terry Pratchetts work.
What does Liam Owen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
His voice is perfect for Hank. Inflection and all. Heck, he may be Hank.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I did.
Any additional comments?
Funny, unusual, goofy and just plain silly. Good Sci-fi and a great narrator. What more could you ask for. The books are a great deal of fun. I do a job that is difficult to enjoy and demanding. These books help me to forget what the real world is like and get me out of my head. Thank you Mr. Campbell and Mr. Owen. Keep up the good work.

Historia
When you have to kill the same terrorist twice in one week there’s either something wrong with your world or something wrong with your skills - and there’s nothing wrong with Joe Ledger’s skills. And that’s both a good and a bad thing. It’s good because he’s a Baltimore detective who has just been secretly recruited by the government to lead a new task force created to deal with the problems that Homeland Security can’t handle....

Outstanding.
Revisado: 03-17-17
What made the experience of listening to Patient Zero the most enjoyable?
Ray Porters narration.
What did you like best about this story?
The whole darned thing.
Which character – as performed by Ray Porter – was your favorite?
Joe Ledger.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Very much so. I almost did, but you know, work got in the way.
Any additional comments?
This is a very good story. Mr Porters narration is flawless and made the book that much better. I can not recommend this book more. I have all of the other Ledger books and this is by far the best one. The others suffer from the normal issues of sequels. Mr. Porter narrates them all and I think is is one of the finest in the business.

Lady Kara Kensington's family paid a high price in money and blood to found the gallery that now lies in ruins. Her search for answers leads Kara and her friend Safia al-Maaz, the gallery's curator, into a world they never dreamed existed.

Really?
Revisado: 03-17-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would not recommend this book to anyone I like. In fact I have told people not to bother with this work.
Would you ever listen to anything by James Rollins again?
I highly doubt it.
Which character – as performed by John Meagher – was your favorite?
Mr. Meagher did a fine job of narration. The issue was the story.
Do you think Sandstorm needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
It already has one. I have returned it already. I will be returning this book as well.
Any additional comments?
I actually shouted at this book when I finally gave up on it. That is very unusual for me. This book is based on an interesting premise. The flaw is with the execution. The main character is supposed to be the standard frighteningly competent agent type. He is for the first part of the book, before the main story gets started. Mr. Rollins then turns him into an idiot. He also apparently decided not to put much effort into the writing. The book is, to the point I was able to stomach it, full of suddenly this events. The writer appears to also not like writing since the story is also full of "I'm too lazy to come up with something plausible, so I will just do this." I have listened to hundreds of books, read countless paperbacks and hardcovers. I can not stand someone who could do better, but just doesn't. I am sure the issue lies with the disappointment I feel at picking up a turd like this. I really wish I could write something nice about the story, but I can't. The narrator is fine, he made what I could get through somewhat enjoyable for his part. However my final recommendation is that you not waste your time listening to this. There are better books out there.
