Historia
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

Masterclass in Storytelling
Revisado: 09-28-23
It's so rare that I come across a book that is gripping from the very first word, up until the very last word. But maybe I'm biased; the last time that I remember that happening was reading GoT, where I spent an entire weekend devouring the first two books. With A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, George R.R. Martin once again demonstrates why he is perhaps the greatest storyteller of our time.

Historia
Tantra Illuminated takes the listener on a fascinating journey to the very heart of original Tantra: its key teachings, foundational lineages, and transformative practices. Since the West's discovery of Tantra 100 years ago, there has been considerable fascination, speculation, and more than a little misinformation about this spiritual movement. Now, for the first time in the English language, Tantra Illuminated presents an accessible introduction to this sacred tradition that began 1,500 years ago in the far north of India.

Fascinating, Inspiring, and Insightful
Revisado: 01-30-22
This scholarly review of both the history and process of Tantra has been a game changer for me. Of particular value is the author's keen ability to deliver precise meaning to concepts that are difficult to describe in general and are often shrouded in a cultural and/or spiritual vernacular entirely foreign to Westerners.
Prior to purchasing I read a review about the author being the narrator and how the reviewer didn't particularly enjoy the narrator. It's complete nonsense. Unadulterated horse-puckey! The author should be commended for his reading of his book. He has done a superb job and is quite pleasant to listen to.If your gripe is about the narration of the book, perhaps consider spending more time on the meditation cushion.
There is so much in this book to be thankful for; it is truly a treasure that I will listen to again and again.

Mind Blown
Revisado: 07-09-21
In chapters five, six and ten B Alan Wallace writes some of the most profound, succinct, and skilful articulations of the nature of mind and reality that I have ever read. This was an unimaginably good read, and I can't wait to start it all over again... like, now.

In this volume, Traleg Kyabgon offers a fresh translation of the slogans as well as in-depth new commentary of each. After living among and teaching Westerners for over 20 years, his approach is uniquely insightful into the ways that the slogans could be misunderstood or misinterpreted within our culture. Here, he presents a refreshing and clarifying view, which seeks to correct points of confusion.

Truly inspirational
Revisado: 06-01-21
In one of the very last slogans Traleg Rinpoche asserts that there is no difference between the Eastern mind and the Western mind. True, but not all Eastern teachers have the penchant for making Eastern teachings as accessible to the Western mind like Traleg Rinpoche does. Trungpa Rinpoche comes to mind, and just like Trungpa Rinpoche's writings this book is an absolute joy to hear, over, and over, and over again

Historia
On a remote, icy planet, the soldier known as Breq is drawing closer to completing her quest. Once, she was the Justice of Toren - a colossal starship with an artificial intelligence linking thousands of soldiers in the service of the Radch, the empire that conquered the galaxy. A Unique, Delightful Characterization of AI
Revisado: 12-26-20
What really struck me about this book was how imaginative, yet entirely plausible, is Ann Leckie's vision of the evolution of AI. And plainly, this is a fantastic story told by a master story teller. Furthermore, the performance is stellar. Specifically, I appreciate the way Adjoa Andoh is able to seamlessly weave together accents, both familiar and unfamiliar, that themselves illustrate a tale of status and class. Superb, just superb!!
