Historia
Mallory is delighted to have a new job looking after gorgeous four-year-old Teddy. She's been sober for a year and a half, and she's sure her new nannying role in the affluent suburbs will help keep her on the straight and narrow. That is until Teddy starts to draw disturbing pictures of his imaginary friend, Anya. It is quite clear to Mallory and to Teddy's parents, even in his crude childlike style, that the woman Teddy is drawing in his pictures is dead.

Subverting expectation perfectly
Revisado: 08-22-23
Story - Character arc was well developed that you are able to relate with the character. This impact is further deepen with the superb pacing and narration of the story. Twist was definitely unexpected although was little superficial at the end which works with the tone of the story. Was also surprised to know that the author was a male since his portrayal of the main character (female) felt so accurate.
Performance - Narrator did a brilliant job voicing the different characters in the story. The tone and intonation were perfect and enhanced the already great story.

Historia
Grace Evans, an overworked New Yorker looking for a total escape from her busy life, books an Airbnb on a ranch in the middle of Wyoming. When she arrives at the idyllic getaway, she’s pleased to find that the owner is a handsome man by the name of Calvin Wells—and he’s eager to introduce her to his easygoing way of life. But there are things Grace discovers that she’s not too pleased about: A lack of cell phone service. A missing woman. And a feeling that something isn’t right with the ranch.

Felt like a forced Twist for the sake of a twist
Revisado: 08-22-23
(Minor Spoiler)
Story - Find it difficult relating to the characters in the story because it is highly unlikely anyone would find themselves in that situation and subsequently act like the main character did. The twist felt super forced but predictable because of how obvious the "Bad" person was behaving (especially the inner thoughts) since the start of the story. There was also no foreshadowing for the twist so it felt out of left field.
Performance - Both narrators did a good job capturing the respective vibes each character is supposed to portray.
