Historia
Outsourcing and a trim corporate profile enabled Coke to scale up production of a low-price beverage and realize huge profits. But the costs shed by Coke have fallen on the public at large. Coke now uses an annual 79 billion gallons of water, an increasingly precious global resource, and its reliance on corn syrup has helped fuel our obesity crisis. Bartow J. Elmore explores Coke through its ingredients, showing how the company secured massive quantities of coca leaf, caffeine, sugar, and other inputs.

This book seemed to bash a great American company

more than it praised it for what it is: an enormous job creator. But, overall it was an interesting history of the company. Capitalism is not always pretty, but it beats all other "isms" combined!

Historia
Told from four-year-old Laura's point of view, this story begins in 1871 in a little log cabin on the edge of the Big Woods of Wisconsin. Laura lives in the little house with her pa, her ma, her sisters Mary and Carrie, and their trusty dog, Jack. Pioneer life is sometimes hard for the family, since they must grow or catch all their own food as they get ready for the cold winter. But it is also exciting as Laura and her family celebrate Christmas with homemade toys and treats, do the spring planting, bring in the harvest, and make their first trip into town.

Classic

Some reviews a little to critical on the narrator. Yes, a male voice would have been better at times. But overall, a fine representation of Wilders 1st in the series.

Historia
In 2012, Jonathan Cahn caused a worldwide sensation with the release of his first book, The Harbinger. It was hailed as "stunning", "prophetic", "mind-blowing", and "astonishing". Cahn followed it with best seller after best seller, but he has always held off on writing a sequel. But now, for the first time, Cahn opens up what could not be unlocked before - the mysteries that couldn’t be revealed until the present time, the manifestations that have taken place since The Harbinger came out and up to the present hour, and the mysteries of what is yet to come.

Wow!!
Revisado: 01-21-23
Incredible series of books. Pray that America repents and returns to God. I struggled a long time accepting that 9/11 was an act of God. Too many things clearly revealed that it was a planned, man made, inside job. I use to tell people that claimed it was a wake up call for America, that no, it was an inside job. I said that God doesn't need thermite (the explosive thermite was discovered in the dust that covered Manhattan). I would say that if it was an act of God, then He could just will the Towers to collapse.
Then it hit me. The Spirit has always used the actions of men to fulfill His prophecies. Every attack and conquering of the Israelites when they had rebelled was always carried out by the actions of men. But actions that God allowed to reawaken and call back His people to Him. Jonathan Cahn brilliantly connects the dots to what is happening to America this very moment. We must repent as a nation and return to God.

Historia
Thomas B. Allen’s expertise in military history and strategy is combined with Roger MacBride Allen’s knowledge of technology to reveal a lesser-known yet fascinating side of the 16th president of the United States. Their authoritative narrative reveals Lincoln as our nation’s first hands-on commander in chief, whose appreciation for the power of technology plays a critical role in the North’s Civil War victory over the less-developed South.

As a history nut, most of this material was known to me. But, I still learned a lot. Excellent book for the civil war interested.
