Historia
Hal and his friends weren't looking for another adventure, but this was a mission they couldn't ignore. Whisper Mountain gets its name from the frequent cries of ghosts echoing down its slopes, the souls of victims who have run afoul of the demon. Who in their right mind would venture into the deserted elfin temple? But, according to a crazy old soothsayer, the mountain is the "key to everything".

Another Great Adventure with Hal & Friends
Revisado: 03-20-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Mountain of Whispers to be better than the print version?
Yes, I love the audio edition because Fred Wolinsky does such a great job of narrating these tales. This story presented interesting challenges to him because of some of the unusual voices and languages he had to perfect.
What did you like best about this story?
I enjoyed how this story led the shapeshifter children to meet and interact with their "monster" non-human side.
Which character – as performed by Fred Wolinsky – was your favorite?
My favorite is still Miss Simone! Wolinsky's voice sounds both smooth and sleek with just the right amount of non-human qualities.
If you could take any character from Mountain of Whispers out to dinner, who would it be and why?
It would have to be Miss Simone. I would love to hear her tales about her life in the early days before the shapshifter program began.
Any additional comments?
I recommend this book to teens and adults who enjoy an entertaining story.

Great for Kids and Adults!
Revisado: 01-24-16
What was one of the most memorable moments of Labyrinth of Fire?
Most memorable to me is the way the kids use their brains as well as their shapeshifting abilities to solve problems.
What does Fred Wolinsky bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Fred once again brings emotion to each character. He makes you realize that even though these kids have special powers, they are still just young adolescents with all the typical insecurities of youth.
Any additional comments?
Can't wait to continue this series with Hal and his friends!

Great Short Story and Narration!
Revisado: 01-23-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would recommend this short story because of its uniqueness. Most of us joke about our crazy families, but poor Rex has a lot to deal with once he learns the truth about his parents.
What does Fred Wolinsky bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Wollinsky's narration is excellent because he gives the parents just the right amount of emotion to keep you guessing.
Any additional comments?
Looking forward to experiencing the next step in Rex's journey!

Strong Women take on Another World!
Revisado: 08-16-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, but only if you love fantasy and have an open mind to other worlds.
What was one of the most memorable moments of To Light The Dragon's Fire?
I love the interaction between the twin sisters and the "threads" that connect them. They are twins but are each strong in their own way. The men of this world have never seen anything like them before.
What does Fred Wolinsky bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mr. Wolinsky brings passion and order to the story. I was never confused during the narration as each character has a distinct voice. This must have been especially difficult since two of the characters are twins!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
When Lanni "died." I didn't know how her twin would be able to survive in this strange world.
Any additional comments?
Since the end of Book 1 left many unresolved issues, I am looking forward to seeing them play out in Book 2. I am also hoping that the excellent narration by Fred Wolinsky continues throughout the series.

Here are five different tales of the end of the world. Some methods are long, drawn-out affairs, others threaten us in the blink of an eye. Even if our take on Mayan calendars was all misinterpretation, there are plenty of other terrors that we could fall prey to. Self-launched bombs, asteroid from space, rain of fire, alien invasion, or virus and pandemic?
