Meh … flat characters and predictable plot

I got to book 3 hoping it would expand. The MC never faces a real challenge, leaving the main drive of the story absent. The characters lack any personal depth and act more as cut-out props for whatever plot the author wants to follow, and the plot itself is about as predictable as a hallmark movie. If you love LitRPG and can’t find anything by else, it scratches the itch, but don’t expect a quality story.

LETS GOOOOO!!!

The loose ends are starting to convalesce, the story reaches a new fever pitch, and it is all to sweet. I honestly don’t know how Matt is going to keep this narrative crescendo going; each book is bigger and more BOMBastic than the last (pun fully intended).

Tired and Bored

This series started strong, but it’s fallen into the issue that so many LitRPG fantasies have. Repetitive mechanics, using the same “shock” material for gags and a character so OP it’s not interesting. I love Travis Baldree, but this series is done for me.

Keeping Up the Quality

As a nurse who began work during the pandemic I feel a sense of camaraderie with Adam. Thank you for sharing these stories with us. I went from feeling heavy from the hard stories, and laughing at the hilarity of patient scenarios

Pretty Good

While interesting as a LITRPG, the story progression is rather Linear and over uses writing techniques such as different perspectives and interruption of text. While I certainly would recommend this story, it is not as polished as one from a more experienced story teller.

Fantastically paced story

Many of these titles take a single narrative ark and space it out into several books. I appreciate that these books maintain a brisk speed, While rarely feeling like they are glossing over important details.
