Best book in the series by far.

I had numerous issues with the first few books but they both were paid off and completely overturned in classes Sanderson fashion with this volume. The plot, the characters, everything lining up to be tied up in a nice bow and sealed away and rediscovered with the next five books has been exhilarating and satisfying.

I first listened as a middle school age kid and I have to say, that's probably the best age group for this story. I liked the enemy to friends plot, which stood out to me when I first listened. I returned to relisten over a decade later because I missed the delightful cozy coastal vibes. This kind of story now reminds me of my own childhood experiences at my grandmother's cabin on the lake.
