Hank is a thug. He knows he's a thug. He has no problem with that realization. In his view the galaxy has given him a gift: a mutation that allows him to withstand great deals of physical trauma. He puts his abilities to the best use possible and that isn't by being a scientist. Besides, the space station Belvaille doesn't need scientists. It is not, generally, a thinking person's locale. It is the remotest habitation in the entire Colmarian Confederation. There is literally no reason to be there.

Great book 1

I wanted to try a new series and decided to try this one. I was not disappointed. Story moves quickly and wasn't hard to keep up with characters. Some books require a chart to reference to keep up with different characters and sub plots. This was an easy entertaining book. Plenty of humor and action.

Complicated story with a lot of political factions. Almost need to make a chart to keep up. Wasn't sure if I was going to like it or invest myself into another series, but by the end of book 1, I think I will continue. Also, excellent narrator. Passionate performance. Bravo!
