I think this is written by an AI whose first language isn't English. The narrator is monotone, with no voice changes for characters. She sounds like a really good text to speech. I didn't pick up on it at first, but now it's very apparent. Many things are mispronounced and I don't know if it's the narrator or the text is misspelled and they're just rolling with it. It's kind of hilarious to listen to, which has me debating on powering through it for the stupidity. The story and characters don't make any sense with weird leaps in logic. Things are weirdly phrased.

DNF Made it halfway

Premise is okay. MC is written like a neck beard. Really cringe at times. Erin Bateman was great as always, Andrew Pond wasn't bad, just didn't work for me. My main problem was really with MC, he is just super cringe. Makes my skin crawl at times.
Sex scenes are super lacking.

The story is actually pretty damn good, and I will be interested in the rest of the series. BUT, I was also expecting this to be pretty steamy as this is listed in the Erotica category. There is 2 instances where there's a quick hint that some hanky panky happened, but there was no build up nor is it ever mentioned or referenced again. You could take those 2 sentences out of the book and it would not affect the story or flow at all. So I do feel pretty misled as this was not what I had signed up for, but I felt like the story was well done and interesting enough for me to get passed that.

Narrator Killed This

DNF. Made it about 3 hours in. The narrator is reading this fast and with no acting at all. I wouldn't say monotone, but there is no distinction from character to character or emotion to emotion. Not flat, but like they're reading you information out of a textbook.

The story itself could be interesting, and I'm not one to usually say this, but almost too much explicit xxx. Like almost non stop that it gets in the way of the plot. The interactions are between characters are pretty cringe, but honestly it was hard to judge because of the narration and the difficulty of distinguishing between characters.

This might have been way better with a different narrator. It's hard to say.

Made it about 2 hours in and had to call it quits. It's like someone wanted to make an adult Harry Potter and heard about Satanism once. None of the characters are believable.

The story was starting to drag on then I hit the Korean accent and to call it quits. I normally love the narrator, but holy cow that was atrocious and maybe offensive?

If I hear the Hanged Gods ball sack one more time-

This had a lot of potential. I would really get into it for a few minutes and then the main character would say something that just didn't fit or just something really jarring. If I hear "Good heavy" or about the Hanged Gods ball sack one more time I'm going to scream. This seemed to be a trope that plagued the whole book. It's like the author wrote a pretty decent plot and built this interesting world and characters, then had a 13 year old "spice it up" or make it "funny". I mean at the end of the day I know this is a Harem Fantasy novel, but I expected more.
