in the beginning I was worried

In the beginning it was waaay too detailed and I was worried that the pace of the book would be torturous but it eventually found a happy medium. I haven't read any other books by this author but will be seeking them out.

I think that this book's plot might appeal more to a younger audience... that's why I think a young adult tag should be added to it in Audible.
I mostly liked the performance, but I kept forgetting the age difference between the two main characters... Halstaan sounds too young.
I forced myself to finish it, but it's not for me.

Audible making me listen to this dribble without my prompting is almost enough to make me rage quit. It reminds me of those terrible 80s Australian dramas. Just yuck.
