Looks are deceiving
Revisado: 10-12-24
Wow! This had my head spinning. The main character isn’t your typical main character but don’t let the looks deceive you. People can have good hearts no matter what they look like… but sometimes the more “perfect” the person the more they are consumed by themselves. Or is that the case?
As you read or listen make sure you are paying attention to what old magic is. Is it just an extra ability? Is it an entity of its own? Pay even closer attention to the random people that are brought into the story. These character’s might be the next main point of view in the series. If you like a clean fantasy love story this is for you.

Historia
Piper’s job is simple: Take the children. Don’t get caught. The rules she binds on herself, however… Well, they’re a tad more complicated. Kidnapped as a child for her connection with the Old Magic—the one that grants her the ability to enchant others with her music—Piper knows good and well the rules of the Coup, the underground organization intent on bringing down the fae regime. As the Coup’s first “recruiter,” she’s supposed to take the strong, the good-boned, the clever, the healthy. Except Piper doesn’t always do what she’s supposed to. Instead, she makes a few rules of her own

What’s the real goal of Piper’s?
Revisado: 10-12-24
This book has my emotions on a roller coaster as I was grasping for each word. I enjoying the adventure and the heart pangs. When I say roller coaster I mean you never knew if there were clues that someone was or wasn’t dead. You could be so nervous for them to get caught or happy for the hope that they had. If you like fairy tales this is a spin between the Pied Piper and Peter Pan. Such a great story line. This is definitely a book worth opening and getting caught up in the adventure.

Historia
Ellie knows what she wants in life: Open a glassblowing shop in the art district; See her father retire; Marry for love (if she can find someone who can keep up, that is). Winning the fae prince's heart doesn't make the list. So, when Prince Evander throws a ball to find a human bride, Ellie respectfully declines. When she reads the morning paper and discovers the prince danced the night away with a mysterious stranger, only for the woman to flee at the stroke of midnight, Ellie can't help but laugh.

Can a glass slipper do that much?
Revisado: 10-12-24
The book keeps you on your toes. I like that it has a solid spin off of Cinderella but molds the story line into a different path. I really enjoyed this. This book will make you think one thing then BAM it is not what you expected. I suppose that’s how most good books are. They keep you clawing for more details. Who’s that person? Is someone lying? Is something going to blossom? Are they going to give in or keep pursuing their goals? How will it end? Depending on the format whether audio book or book, I had to rewind or reread certain areas cause I didn’t absorb the clues there at times. I hope you read this and enjoy it as much as I had.
