Dogs

As a dog trainer and proud human to six dogs (two dumped, two rehomed, one rescue, and one puppy), Good Boys by Jeremy Robinson was far beyond a "want" to read. The concept struck a perfect chord, blending my love for dogs with my passion for sci-fi. I'm already a huge fan of Jeremy Robinson's other works, especially the Infinite Timeline series, so I went into this book with high expectations—and I wasn't disappointed. While there were a few nit-picky details that I couldn't help but notice (Grover's excessive humping, some strong small dog stereotypes), the story's heart and soul more than made up for it.

The book delivered moments that made me laugh out loud, though not quite as frequently as some of Robinson's other works. However, the emotional impact was undeniable. There were scenes that brought me to tears, and they were worth every one. Robinson has a way of making you care deeply about the characters, and as a dog person, I felt particularly invested in this story.

I can't wait to see where this series goes and am thoroughly hooked. The narrator did a phenomenal job, too. His range and ability to give each character a distinct, believable voice were so convincing that I genuinely had to check and make sure there weren't two narrators involved. It’s rare to find such a seamless performance.

In short, Good Boys is a must-read, Jeremy Robinson continues to deliver (as usual), and I’m excited for what’s next.

The Ending We Needed

I'm going to preface this by stating I don't like space operas. Or any operas. I got the first book in the series years ago and it took three attempts to get into it, then Skippy the beer can showed up and I've been sold ever since. Does this have all the answers I've ever wanted since the beginning? No. But it couldn't, and I love that there are still a few things left to the imagination. The story continues on because of it. It's been a long and wild ride, and this was about the perfect way to end the journey.

amazing storytelling

I will be the first to admit that it took me a couple tries to get into the earlier books from this series, and while 14 and The Fold are now in my top favorite books, I was hesitant to give Dead Moon a shot after reading reviews that it is the weakest of the series and the least tied in.
I shouldn't have waited this long.
Only Peter Clines and Ray Porter could tell a story about moon zombies and make it this good. Does it sound like the most ridiculous plot ever to describe to your friends? Probably. But if your reading this type of sci-fi do you care, or are you secretly loving the side eyes so when they finally HAVE to ask, you can explain all the reasons why it's actually awesome?

So many things brought together

I had a lot of questions after Extinction Machine and Kill Switch, but Deep Silence really brought everything together. There is still a deep element of mystery to some parts of the story but overall, a suspenseful and engaging story. Ray Porter's performance is amazing and, as always, brings Joe Ledger to life.

Excellent!

A well-written and researched book. While it is of course a sci-fi book and not everything is believable, the author obviously took a lot of time in researching military technology and terminology as well as prion diseases. While there is a romantic element to this story, it does not overtake the action. Ray Porter did a great job narrating for each of the characters, and this was probably the most well preformed audible book I have listened to. This made my long commutes much shorter and I will be purchasing the next book in the series.

This was an interesting story to listen to. The story was well written, but it is short. It really made me wish there was a sequel, but as a short story, I couldn't ask for more!

I found this to be very amusing. I love how each chapter starts with a phrase from the couples' counseling and how it applies to the zombie Apocalypse. It is the first book in a trilogy, followed by Flip this Zombie and Eat Slay Love.
