The book was good, but maybe so respectful that it got foggy in the places where I would want to know what happened. If she had Alzheimer’s for 30 years, a bit more about how those years went would be good. Her relationships with men were mentioned, but very little was said about their day to day life.

This started out a bit slow. Then, I got offended that the author would presume to have the judgement to tell me what I could watch as if I am some 8 year old. No one thinks Zac Efron is irresistible and his portrayal of Ted Bendy did not make him look cool. So, either the author has no idea what cool is or thinks any woman of average intelligence and above don’t know a damn thing about life. That made me very angry! However, this book was well written and has nothing to do with that situation. Look, I’m able to keep two ideas in my head, that I think that movie ban bs was way insulting AND that this book is brilliant, and I am not going to judge its merits on that. I will recommend this book to others. It is excellent.

Best Recent Book on one of the Oldest Subjects

I found this book to be well-researched, well-written and containing a perfect balance of non-fiction facts blended in with a few stories about real people who have been terrorized and sometimes murdered by their significant others.

The Same Story a Lot of us Have, minus the success

I liked to description of the author’s sometime blind spots, for example his feelings very strong religious ideas. I would have liked a little more description of how the people looked, though the grandparents were very descriptive. I will listen again, but I think I wish there were more actual examples of what could happen to a person from the author’s background had he not lucked out at the right time. How do other people suffer from the limits of their upbringing?

Kind of like you would expect.

I will need to listen to this one again, as I fell asleep during it, which is not a problem for the book. I have PTSD and sleep is elusive during times of stress or when I am triggered. I listen to audiobooks in order to give my squirming brain something less disturbing to listen to instead of my own thoughts. Homemaking beauty products is one of my newest hobbies. Thank you for offering this.

The title says it all

This book just scratches the surface of a topic that very few of us know enough about. Our rights and how what we used to have to protect us from unfair persecution becomes lesser and lesser all the time.

Long, and that is why it is great to have on audio

This book is very, very comprehensive, though dated the movement it is printed. If a person had only one book on social media, this could be the one. Well worth the audible price. Also, there are another hundred links or so that the author has to read out for even more information. In the print d book, there are scan codes for all of these, which isn't as easy as it should be, if you are reading a book this size on social media. This book could be a great textbook, actually, as long as a new edition is printed every year to keep up with the rapidly changing subject.

Good for people who are curious about how the world works

I have often wanted to buy products from Alibaba, in particular, but also from other foreign, therefor, "scary" companies but I didn't have the nerve. To listen about how this company was built and also how it is the same and very different from American companies. It is a very human business. I had taken a couple of computer courses from companies that teach people how to do anything from paint to make t-shirts to start a small import company. Alibaba was naturally the main company said discussed.

This book was full of a lot of common sense, i.e., not overly technical privacy issues that a person may not think about all of the time. The author's past work history dealing with clients of all sorts is an asset to the story-telling. He often gives several possibilities for a certain scenerio's outcome and how that may affect the choices available. The book is not about "how to disappear" in a literal manner, but more about how to keep a low profile in a modern world.
