Historia
An AI calling itself Schema has assimilated Earth into its System. As a consequence, everyone gained access to status screens, power-ups, and skills. This AI turned these concepts from fiction to fact. It's easy to become intoxicated with leveling up and becoming stronger. To some, it's too good to be true, like living out a dream. For Daniel, however, it's closer to a nightmare.

I had a hard time getting through this one.
Revisado: 01-26-24
I have so many questions about everything going on. The scope of everything was so narrow and focused around Daniel. This is an event that happened to Earth, but it may as well have happened to an island on Earth. This guy definitely seems to be the center of the universe.

I admit, the last book had me bored, and I wasn't looking forward to this one. Felix in the city is boring. Thankfully, he gets away from all that the ending has me excited for the next entry in the series.

The circus of death to prove the worth of mankind is reaching its bloody finale. Fighting the monsters threatening to overwhelm mankind brought out the best and the worst out of humanity. And true to its purpose as a measurement of worthiness, ultimate victory in the raids would require more than just strength. The final chapter awaits, the judgment of the fate of mankind is about to begin.

Loved all three books, although I usually expect a climactic ending.

These are getting harder to read.
Revisado: 11-01-22
After I finished reading this I realized that I did not enjoy it very much. Book one was amazing and I guess that's why I continue with this series. I was loving reading about a character who fought with lightning, acid, and fists. For a while there I thought the author was going for a sort of monk build which I was very excited for, but I don't think we will ever go back to that with all this monster transformation stuff. I might give the next book a try but I will probably stop there.

Looking forward to the sequel
Revisado: 05-11-22
Great book. I love it when I can get 30+ hours out of a credit.
What I loved most about this book was the characters. There were so many unique characters each with their own personality. Although I did still see the author in each of them. (Like in how much they all say "fair enough", not a phrase I ever use but one I would bet the author uses all the time.) I also liked how realistic they were in their flaws. Scorio like any human being makes mistake after mistake, and from the readers perspective some of them are obvious and I'm groaning at how dumb he is being, but also the mistake is made in the moment due to feelings and circumstances. He also has his victories though which are quite satisfying. There were also times where I thought certain characters would be staples just because it felt like the author invested in their personalities only to see them fade into the background later. Just when I thought the story would get predictable it surprises me. I would also like to note the subtle LGBT character. Lately it feels like the movement is in all my media and it's being force fed down my throat, but here it was brief and not distracting and I appreciate it.

Another excellent entry in the series!
Revisado: 05-04-22
I loved it! this is such a great series. The author is an amazing writer. The world and characters have depth. I love reading books, I go through them like netflix tv shows which often means I have to lower my standards just to get through the next dozen. This series is one of my highlights.
Some reviewers are dissappointed. I understand. They want to keep the focus on the characters they are invested in. I feel the same. But the author is building the world and it is therefore necessary to write about other parts and other characters, that is how high fantasy works. This entry focuses on the world building. We get alot of background and history. I still highly recommend it and I think Rains of Liscor we focus more on Erin and Ryoka. Just enjoy the journey and be grateful that writers of this quality still exist.

Generic isekai cultivation story
Revisado: 01-18-22
I couldn't finish it. The story was fairly dull as there is no serious conflict or a protagonist. It's like Harry Potter except there's no Lord Voldemort and it was all about Harry just going about his daily life while at Hogwarts.

It's okay
Revisado: 12-29-21
I may have rated it higher if I hadn't just finished reading The Perfect Run.
The book takes a long time to really get going and even then throughout there are parts where I just lost focus.
I do like however how the character begins weak and not really special in anyway and then builds himself up.

overkill on the stats
Revisado: 09-11-21
Still like the series but I have a few points I hope the author reads and takes into consideration.
1. Too much repetition of the stats. I had a hard time staying attentive. There were times where I realized I had stopped paying attention and had to rewind and listen again.
2. It feels like Jason's personality is just infecting the other characters and they are talking and sounding more like him. let's keep it diverse.
3. Ending was a let down, needs improvement.
also every time they said builder cult I kept hearing build-a-cult.
