This was pretty humorous! I loved the characters just wish the story was developed more. Has the potential to be a great series. Narrator has way too much background noise going on and the editing was horrible!

Great Beginning

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes! This was a great listen and a wonderful beginning to the Family Business. I loved that it wasn't all hardcore all the time. The story of Chippie and LC is beautiful.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The narrators really make you feel like your watching a movie. Chippie's voice was very melodic.

What made the experience of listening to Red Hot the most enjoyable?
I love romance and this was truly a romance. I like that Kat actually had morals and didn't just jump right into sex.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Hot?
When Kat and Quint went on their first date. Very cute!!
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It hit all of my emotions. I love how every decision Quint made he had his daughter in mind. I loved their father/daughter relationship. I enjoyed Kat and the Strong Clan and how close they were without being overwhelming.

What did you love best about Animal?
I love how all these stories entertwine!! The characters there lives and all the drama!! I was on the edge of my seat holding my breath waiting for all the cards to fall. I didn't see the ending coming but I definitely can't wait until the next one. This is hood tales at its best!! I love Kwan!!

Yes, holds your attention from beginning to end!!
What other book might you compare White Lines to and why?
Thugs and the Women who love them by Wahida Clark because it's the same game just a different view but a realistic take on life in the streets. Plus you become so engrossed with the characters you feel like they are real people and you really go thru the emotional rollercoaster with them!
What does Allyson Johnson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She wasn't a good fit to me because I felt like she made the characters sound Southern instead of East coast but she was still pleasant to listen to.
If you could take any character from White Lines out to dinner, who would it be and why?
Born and Ms. Ingrid because I'm curious to know how she truly felt about her decisions, Leo's decisions and Born's choices in life. As for Born I'm curious about how he thought it was a good idea to just walk away from Jada.
Any additional comments?
I really loved this book!! It truly showed the mind of an addict and it shows you how it's not so easy to get that monkey off your back but when you put your mind to it you can eventually get it off. Also this was set during the time I was growing up and how we thought it so cool to be a D-boy's girl but this shows that everything that glitters is TRULY NOT GOLD!! Good job Ms. Brown!!
