Sherry Thomas delivers again!

I have found in Sherry Thomas what I am constantly seeking in authors: the ability to consistently keep me enthralled. I identify with and care about her characters and what they do. I learn cultural factoids and new words too! This second installment in the Lady Sherlock series kept me riveted same as the rest. A fascinating, new, and clever take on the much-explored Sherlock Holmes angle. I love the girl power!

Enthralling story, good narrators

Clockwork Prince is just the second captivating installment in one of my favorite trilogies ever. Intense romance, successful intrigue, and strong character development. Start with Clockwork Angel, and you won't need to be told to continue.

One of the REALLY good ones.

Anyone into fantasy/romance is going to thoroughly enjoy this story. If you've already been through the Mortal Instruments lineup, you'll be pleasantly surprised by this series. It's markedly BETTER. The characters are strong and the plot/story is captivating. The love story is EPIC. All three narrators are excellent.

I listen to a LOT of audiobooks and the Infernal Devices trilogy is one of my all-time favorites. I usually putter and do busy work while I listen, but by the end of book 3, I was frozen, leaning on my countertop, staring at nothing, just riveted to the story. Please pull over when the story gets good if you are driving!

Bear with the slow start - you'll be glad you did.

Oliver Hembrough does a superb job in bringing this poignant, beautifully written world to life. The rich history, dynamic drama, complicated romance, and poetic description in this story will keep the intelligent mind riveted. It's a thought-provoking exploration into the flaws and merits of every type of human, hero or villain, prince or pauper. A must for any enthusiast of historical fiction, British culture study, and love stories.

I loved this book. I know it's fiction, but my word! He hits the nail on the head about what over personally discovered about the function and purpose and mysteries of God. Sooo symbolic to truth to me. I absolutely loved the profound thoughts I discovered in this book.. And the performance of the reader?! Supreme!

Yet another enthralling dose of Poldark by Graham.

Poetically descriptive storytelling using well-developed characters and unpredictable, dynamic plotlines. Poldark series is a MUST read for historical fiction enthusiasts. A little bit of EPIC romance never hurts either!

Good book! A little slow at the beginning.

If I had one major criticism, it would be that we hear Sal's inner dialogue too much.. Especially at the beginning. I wanted to move on with the story line instead. Her inner moods and thoughts were a bit redundant. She was nervous about Kulti, he was a jerk, I get it. But we rehashed that point again and again and again and again and again and again and again... You get the point.

But then the story proceeds and things get interesting.

Solid character building of admirable people! I thought it was a very fun love story.

Loved this story! Hated the narration.

I loved this story. I love the hero. He's such a noble guy. He plays mysteriously, but truly, he's genius with a heart of gold. I love how he engages "Watson" aka Matilda, and how irresistible he is. I also love Matilda. She's funny and quirky and genuine. I adore the story.

I HATED the narrator. It was hard to tell when she was speaking for the characters and which character she was speaking for. Her American accent for Jason made him sound like he was costly speaking as a looney toons "wiiise guuy". And when he was whispering softly, the narrator was talking LOUDLY. Blek! It was hard to focus on the story and not how annoying the narration was. Maybe read this one with your eyeballs. It's a good story.

So emotionally engaging!

Oh how I love this series! It's naughty, but sooo much more about the characters!

Eilish meets her number one crush (pro rugby player Bryan) at a wedding, only to find him completely interested in her! She sleeps with him, but in the morning, he doesn't even remember her. She's crushed. Terribly crushed. Then her shame and embarrassment is magnified when she discovers she is pregnant. He's a cad! An alcoholic womanizer! Her fantasy is utterly obliterated with sorrowful truth.

The story picks up 5 years later when she meets him again and he is in full addiction recovery. He's a completely different man than he once was.

I LOVED seeing these characters interact and work through some of the most complex, difficult kinds of circumstances. And find love... Oh my goodness! I loved this story.
