Historia
A typical day in the life of Charley Davidson involves cheating husbands, errant wives, missing people, philandering business owners, and, oh yeah...demons, hell hounds, evil gods, and dead people. Lots and lots of dead people. As a part-time private investigator and full-time grim reaper, Charley has to balance the good, the bad, the undead, and those who want her dead. Now Charley is learning to make peace with the fact that she is a goddess with all kinds of power and that her own daughter has been born to save the world from total destruction.

Charlie A Goddess??? God Help Us All....
Revisado: 01-22-19
Imagine Charlie with more power? Goddess kind of power, the world is in trouble. As if it is not enough that her husband is son of the devil. Now all the bad supernatural beings wanted the pair dead, and their baby, because the baby will even be more powerful than the parents.
We have that scenario, and all the ghosts of this world also needed to pass through her. The detective agency is also handling its own problems, but Cooks is up to the task. I think? The thing is what do I know? The gang are all present and kicking (if Charlie does not kill them all). As long as there is coffee though, I think they are safe.
I love this series. I don't think I've been dissapointed by any installment yet.

Historia
As a part-time PI and full-time grim reaper, Charley Davidson has asked a lot of questions throughout her life: Why can I see dead people? Who is the hot supernatural entity following me? How do I get gum out of my sister's hair before she wakes up? But "how do I trap not one malevolent god but three?" was never among them. Until now. And since those gods are on earth to kill her daughter, she has little choice but to track them down, trap them, and cast them from this dimension. There's just one problem. One of the three stole her heart a very long time ago.

You Think???
Revisado: 11-10-18
When you think Charlie cannot do worse or better as a god, we get this book, and you think wrong. There are different threads being pulled in this story, three, to be precise. We have Reyes and Charlie at odds with each other, especially since Reyes had not touched her in days. Then Charlie discovered Reyes paying child support for a child in Texas. His???? Horrors of horrors!!! As she and Cookie were investigating this heartbreaker, Charlie got a case of a woman supposedly killed by her fiancée, who her family said is innocent. Charlie is also looking for her daughter, Beep, and Reyes won't tell her where she is.
Oh, lest I forget, a video of her performing exorcism on a girl in Africa surfaced, and she is now more notorious. Not famous. So, just another walk in the park for our Charlie, a god or goddess. Reyes is also now a god or was, but of light or darkness? Who knows. The cast of secondary characters are also alive and well, Ehn...dead.
I also have the pleasure of listening to Lorelei King doing Reyes and that was superb. The audio version of this book did better justice to the depth and nuisances of the story. Listening is believing. The lead in to the next story was also included. Just don't tell Charlie something is impossible. That is tempting fate. We shall see.

I Kinda Knew It...
Revisado: 12-15-17
This is my first KA paranormal novel. I have been avoiding this series from her. It is an okay read for me. As for Sonia’s big reveal, I knew it from the symptoms she has. Callus is the ‘big bad wolf’ who can only be tamed by Sonia. So the war is still looming. I guess I have to read the next novel. Nice read, not as gripping as I wanted.

Always Enlightening to Read Nora Roberts
Revisado: 11-13-17
Nora Roberts has a way with her writing that grips readers from beginning to end. Either as NR or as her alter ego JD Robb. Claire and Becketts’ story could have been a second chance romance except it is Beckett who has been carrying a touch for Claire since high school. She has no clue. She married her high school sweetheart, had three boys, and is now widowed. She came back home and this is a chance for Beckett to ‘get the girl’. He did of course. There is a pesky but dangerous problem though. Somebody wanted Claire for himself and will go to any length to do so. We have romance with some dose of ghosts, and added danger in the form of a deranged pseudo suitor. “

Emma, older sister of renowned rock star Jake McKallister, has crafted a quiet existence for herself. Fiercely independent, scorned at work, and indifferent to relationships, she's spent the past decade trying to move on from the crime that shook her family to the core. But unfinished business from Emma's troubled past looms heavy, threatening to destroy the fledging love she's found with the only man to ever jump-start her wounded heart.

Okay To Know...
Revisado: 09-11-17
It is good that Emma, Jake's older sister has her own story. It is a compelling story. Finn is such a funny and nice guy. Maybe too nice for Emma, but they clicked. The thing is there was too much flashbacks to when Jake was kidnapped. he looms larger than life in Emma's story. Which made me to conclude that Jake actually is the hero of his brother as well as his sister's books. I think the series should be limited to him, and his siblings can be secondary characters. IMO.

Familiar....
Revisado: 06-12-17
Kyle and Kenzie has a tough act to follow. As is the case with almost all younger siblings it is not easy to play on equal footing with an older sibling, especially if he/she is famous. Kyle did hold his own am happy to say. It says a lot about his character and that of Kenzie. Ms Bengtsson almost managed the impossible. I almost love this book as much as 'Cake'. It also helps that Jake and Casey appeared in several of the scenes, and the reality theme is also a good thing. I kind of entered into the spirit of the competition. I love it.

How Complicated Does It Has To Be?
Revisado: 05-19-17
The story of Hixon, Greta and Hope was just drawn out unnecessarily to give this book volume. I am a great fan of Kristen Ashley, but am not feeling this book. She is a consummate and convincing story teller, usually. All that happened in this book was a wife who made a mistake to let a good man go, and he found another woman. The ex wife now started fighting to get the man back, and the children are caught in the middle.
The other thing that happened was an unnecessary murder which makes no sense.
The actors were very good though. I will love to hear their voices again.

Stand Out...
Revisado: 04-20-17
What stood out for me in this book was how Truman stood in the gap for his siblings even though he didn't have to. I love how a young single guy put his life on hold to do this. He also found a gem in Gemma (no pun intended). It was also gratifying to listen as well read this moving story. It really made it more enjoyable.

Sweet Mel
Revisado: 03-28-17
I read the Kindle edition of this book a long time ago, and it was one of my favorites, so when the audio came out I bought it. First of all, the narrator did an awesome job. He brought Joss home for me. He also did wonderfully doing Mel's voice. Usually I don't like men's voice for women character. This actor was good.
Then the story, to relive it again listening did better justice to the drama. I love it. I wish I know how they continue with their lives. I don't necessarily wants to follow the other couples. Joss and Mel are my favorites. Tammy kinda didn't make me want to read her story. I love Walsh though.
Anyways, good story.

Everything about Fiona is forbidden. She has dark desires she can't explain. She's beautiful, irresponsible, irresistible. She's my patient. I'm her therapist. I'm past wanting her. Past possessing her. Past bedding her or protecting her. I'm willing to be self-destructive, negligent, brave, audacious, and stronger than I ever believed possible.

Buckle Up....
Revisado: 03-23-17
Readers have to buckle up to read Fiona's story. It is hard, sad and ugly. It ain't pretty. I wish I could fast forward to the epilogue, but I guess not. Fiona had everything except self worth. She abused drugs and her body. By the time she met Elliot, her therapist in rehab, she stabbed her long term Dom, and 'boyfriend', then blacked out.
Anyways, this story contained rape, BDSM, same-sex 'lovemaking' (the word to describe this cannot be written here), drug abuse, child molestation, the whole nine yards. By the way, I don't see Fiona's dad paying for what he did. Maybe I missed it. We also met a teenage Jonathan here.
So, I will just say man up and read this book. It is not easy, but it is a must read.
