Great Book

This is a good combination of a really interesting story line and perfect performance. John Scalzi knows how to conceptualize a world that does not exist. At the same time, he is able to retain characters who are human. He makes you think about big questions that are relevant to society without telling you what to think. He has become one of my favorite authors.

Fantastic themes but a Disappointing Ending

Colin Farrell gives a great performance. James Joyce goes deep into the Soul. It is the Soul of his character but really it could be any of us. He really captures the fight that all of us encounter every day to do good. I loved the story all the way to the end. It doesn’t match the beginning of the book. He is so in-depth and then he just seems to wrap it up without the depth of the beginning of the book. I do recommend reading it. It is good to be reminded that we should all think on the big questions of life. Does God exist? Heaven? Hell? Consequents of our actions. Read the book and open your mind but come to your own conclusions.

Excellent but should be read not heard

Cardinal Sarah fascinates me. I was so excited to see this book on audible. It is a bit of a paradox to listen to a book on Silence. The book’s format is really a collection of thoughts and meditations. His thoughts and meditations are clearly inspired. I would recommend that you get the physical book instead and read it during holy hours of adoration. You should read the book in silence in the presence of our Lord. Only then, will you truly get the full benefit of what Robert Cardinal Sarah is trying to inspire in you.

Cute Story

This has a cute story despite the setting and placement of the characters. It is all about relationships which happen to take place in a shocking setting. One of the characters is an author. I don’t find her to be believable. The performance is great by the actors.

Won’t want to put it down

This story jumps right in and hits the ground running. This is a book you won’t want to put down. Secrets continue to unfold as a battle rages around the main character.

Is this generational?

I work with a lot of younger. I want to be able to understand them better. The book is helpful in presenting the obstacles of this generation. Some of the obstacles, I don’t think are generational. I think that they are a some things that obstacles for everyone who lives in these times. It is worth listening to. Decide for yourself.

Clever Storyline

This is a cute mystery. It is not too predictable. It allows you to enjoy the clue hunting with the character. It is a kid story but can be enjoyed by all.

Great Story of Courage

I love that this is loosely based on a true story. It is not easy standing up for yourself especially when others rely on you. How far can one person be pushed to continue to stand and not be pushed? Read and find out.

Predictable but Fun

The characters are lovable including the mew of the kitty. This is an easy going book if you just want to escape for a time.
