Uplifting others through his pain
Revisado: 10-19-19
It was so important to listen to JVN narrate his story. You can hear the raw emotion in certain parts of the book which can’t be translated through print. I bought the signed copy and couldn’t wait for it to arrive and that’s how I ended up here. Thank you JVN for writing and reading this book. It inspires hope and educates people about what it meant to live with HIV. Thank you for sharing your energy.

Historia
In this heartfelt, funny, touching memoir, Tan France, star of Netflix’s Emmy award-winning Queer Eye, tells his origin story for the first time. With his trademark wit, humour and radical compassion, Tan reveals what it was like to grow up gay in a traditional South Asian family, as one of the few people of colour in South Yorkshire. He illuminates his winding journey of coming of age, finding his voice (and style!) and happily marrying the love of his life - a Mormon cowboy from Salt Lake City.

I knew I had to listen to it!

I love reading books but find myself spending a lot of time in the car, driving. Started listening to podcasts and this is my first audiobook! I already bought a signed copy but could not wait till it came in the mail. So.. hello instant gratification. It was a joy to listen to Tan narrate his story in his very distinct and delightful way. I laughed and cried... very touching and personal, shining light on discrimination and how normal gay marriage really is - Filled with love! Antoni’s guest appearance was such a treat too!
