When is the next installment ????
Revisado: 09-13-24
The story continues and while others do not like the fact that there is little / no information regarding the opposition - I like that part - sometimes we all face a complete unknown- the question is will it destroy Skippy and the Merry Band of Pirates or make them stronger? Adversity builds strength and character - I am looking forward to the continual building of the characters and the strength of the story.

When he broke with the program and went deep underground, he left with a lot of secrets in his head that the government would do anything to make sure never got out. Historia
The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Thoroughly enjoyed
Revisado: 12-11-22
I always look forward to the next installment of Expeditionary Force. I am unsure if this will be the last book in the series, as it could go either way. The fun of listening to this ongoing saga is that it makes you laugh all the way through it. I won't give anything away ...that wouldn't be any fun. It is well worth the time to not only listen to this book, but the entire series.

The problem with lying about having a super weapon is that the bad guys might believe they have nothing to lose by doing something stupid that both sides will regret. Or, they might just call your bluff. Either way, the Merry Band of Pirates need a plan to deal with the Fallout.

A great addition
Revisado: 12-28-21
I was worried that this series was getting too long, that there wouldn't be much more that could be done with it. I was wrong (happily) - I look forward to the next installment . I prefer the books in this series that have "Skippy the Magnificent" in them - the two Paradise books didn't work for me - but I know others loved them, so it is personal preference. The humor and conversations between Skippy and characters - make me laugh and enjoy each and every book - over and over again . I won't say much about the plot as I don't want to give anything away - other than the book , and the series, is thoroughly enjoyable .

As a boy, Evan Smoak was pulled out of a foster home and trained in an off-the-books operation known as the Orphan Program. He was a government assassin, perhaps the best, known to a few insiders as Orphan X. He eventually broke with the Program and adopted a new name - The Nowhere Man - and a new mission, helping the most desperate in their times of trouble.

Gregg Hurwitz continues to develop the series as technology develops - Evan is a likeable, flawed hero. This series is great and well worth the listening time. I look forward to development of the series and the character.

Revisado: 12-16-20
It just came out and I binged listened ! One of the better books in this series. Made me laugh out loud so many times. I enjoyed the cliffhanger at the end (unlike book 9) so I know the series will continue . The cast of characters makes this series great ! If you have never listened to this series , start with book one (chapter 10 is where it gets good) and move forward through the books from there- I look forward to more books and I am impressed that they continue to be well worth the time to listen. During this Pandemic, this series has truly saved me. Thank you Craig Alanson and R.C. Bray - you are both incredible people and the world is better with you in it !

We need to listen and learn
Revisado: 10-14-20
Definitely worth this listening time - Will make you think. I am hopeful that more books like this, with these types of teachers, will be available on audible as well as in print form - these teachings need to work their way into our consciousness so that we can not only become better stewards of this earth, but better ancestors.

Worth your time!
Revisado: 09-11-20
I would have loved to change places with the author, to finish what was started. I understand we are all on our own life paths, and he was given a unique path. Not sure if he would have made a different decision as he looks back , but I think we are all finding out the things we would have done differently if we had the choice to do it all again- knowing what we know now. A wonderful introduction into healers. Thank you for recording your teachings, this is something I will listen to time and time again.
