Historia
Most books about the history of humanity pursue either a historical or a biological approach, but Dr. Yuval Noah Harari breaks the mold with this highly original book. From examining the role evolving humans have played in the global ecosystem to charting the rise of empires, Sapiens integrates history and science to reconsider accepted narratives, connect past developments with contemporary concerns, and examine specific events within the context of larger ideas.

Big picture perspective provides food for thought
Revisado: 11-30-21
What I like most about this book is its macro perspective on humans dancing or changing over time. it summarizes major movements in the history of humanity and gives perspectives on their causes and effects. please topics in conversations open to stimulate what ifs for the future. the narrator has a very academic feel well suited to the topic of this book. Overall highly recommended and enjoyable read.

Historia
When a pseudonymous programmer introduced “a new electronic cash system that’s fully peer-to-peer, with no trusted third party” to a small Online mailing list in 2008, very few paid attention. Ten years later, and against all odds, this upstart autonomous decentralized software offers an unstoppable and globally-accessible hard money alternative to modern central banks. The Bitcoin Standard analyzes the historical context to the rise of Bitcoin, the economic properties that have allowed it to grow quickly, and its likely economic, political, and social implications.

This book tells Elon Musk's story with great depth
Revisado: 08-19-21
This book breaks down many facets of Elon musk story, early experiences, victories and failures, and rise to current accomplishments in both Tesla and SpaceX. I especially appreciate the way the book groups each of the different components of the story which which is at times complex, into compartments that are easily understood. also helpful is interviews with many people besides Elon, which help understand different perspectives on the narrative. Overall entertaining & a great read.

And then, there's his highly-publicized plans for colonizing Mars.... But behind the mind-blowing headlines and legendary drive is the story of a bullied and beaten school boy, who through creativity and determination decided to rewrite his story and find his own way to make the world a better place. And to do so with a sense of fun and style.

Ok for kids, but lacks depth
Revisado: 08-06-21
This book covers a headline-level depth of the Elon musk story. Both narrators have a generic and detached way of reading the text. I finished the book, but there are better options out there if you want to get to know the fascinating evolution of this story.

Historia
In The Black Swan Taleb outlined a problem, and in Antifragile he offers a definitive solution: how to gain from disorder and chaos while being protected from fragilities and adverse events. For what Taleb calls the "antifragile" is actually beyond the robust, because it benefits from shocks, uncertainty, and stressors, just as human bones get stronger when subjected to stress and tension. The antifragile needs disorder in order to survive and flourish. Taleb stands uncertainty on its head, making it desirable, even necessary, and proposes that things be built in an antifragile manner.
