Historia
Judith Hampton was as beautiful as she was proud and loyal. Her dear Scottish friend from childhood was about to give birth, and Judith had promised to be at her side. But there was another reason for the journey from her bleak English home to the Highlands: to meet the father she had never known, the Laird Maclean. Nothing prepared her, however, for the sight of the Scottish barbarian who was to escort her into his land...Iain Maitland, laird of his clan, a man more powerfully compelling than any she had ever encountered.

Never again
Revisado: 06-06-23
Could barely make myself finish this book. The narration was not for me!!! Will never get another book narrated by Susan Duerden. Her attempts at accents were very distracting.

Historia
There’s a fine line between genius and insanity. The home of such a man existed 100 years ago. A rich, egotistical, megalomaniac built it and used it for science as well as pleasure. Now his great-grandson has returned to re-establish the family's traditions. Seven women are dead because of the curse of Castle Grey. Tall, beautiful and intelligent, Special Agent Katherine Katt of the FBI was sent to Monterey, California, to find the man responsible for the murder of those seven women.

Should have read the reviews before buying!
Revisado: 10-08-14
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
Would not recommend this book to a friend or enemy. The story line is not believable and the ending is not worth the read.
If you’ve listened to books by Catherine Coulter before, how does this one compare?
I love Catherine Coulter but this is not one of her better works.
How could the performance have been better?
The performance was poor. I enjoy the strong female characters in most of Catherine's books, but the narrator of The Edge ruined this. He should NEVER try to read as a female unless they are whiny, weak and helpless. He also has an annoying trait of reading half a sentence and then continuing the same sentence like it is an after thought.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
NO

Historia
Six years have passed since Jake Fisher watched Natalie, the love of his life, marry another man. Six years of hiding a broken heart by throwing himself into his career as a college professor. Six years of keeping his promise to leave Natalie alone, and six years of tortured dreams of her life with her new husband, Todd. But six years haven’t come close to extinguishing his feelings, and when Jake comes across Todd’s obituary, he can’t keep himself away from the funeral. There he gets the glimpse of Todd’s wife he’s hoping for...but she is not Natalie....

Listen before you buy
Revisado: 04-27-13
Would you listen to Six Years again? Why?
no - the narrarator was very irritating to me
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The main character was discribed as a "lumber jack" sort of guy - 6'5" & was a bouncer at one time. The narrator sounded like a whiney little guy that couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. There were times I wanted to just turn it off, but the story line was really good and so I finished the book.
Any additional comments?
This is one you should READ for yourself.

Historia
At the first of every month, when the office has reached its pinnacle of hysteria, Maggie, Roxanne, and Candice meet at London's swankiest bar for an evening of cocktails and gossip. Here, they chat about what's new at The Londoner, the glossy fashion magazine where they all work, and everything else that's going on in their lives. Or almost everything. Beneath the girl talk and the laughter, each of the three has a secret. And when a chance encounter at the cocktail bar sets in motion an extraordinary chain of events, each one will find their biggest secret revealed.

Good story line - a little transparent from the beginning -- but good listening. Really liked the relationship of the 3 friends.
