Great story - bad narration for this title.
Revisado: 10-01-24
The story itself is very good. The previous narrator, Dick Hill, was great. For this particular title however, this narrator was a poor choice. She keeps trying to do an Australian accent but allows it to fall continually. She also fails to use it for all the appropriate characters. A different narrator would have made this title five stars across the board.

Historia
Calista Langley operates an exclusive "introduction" agency in Victorian London, catering to respectable ladies and gentlemen who find themselves alone in the world. But now a dangerously obsessed individual has begun sending her trinkets and gifts suitable only for those in deepest mourning - a black mirror, a funeral wreath, a ring set with black jet stone. Each is engraved with her initials.

it's okay.

I'm a fan of the "Amanda Quick" novels on the whole. However, this one just left me rather flat. The storyline itself was good and I believe this could have been a good book but it is missing something. I really wish I could with specificity describe exactly what's wrong with it however, the only word that comes to mind is "flat".
