First off, Connie Chung is a staple from my childhood. I heard her book was good so I wanted to listen to learn more about her journey.
She has inspired me as a woman, a woman of color and as an intellectual. I may not be named Connie (read the book and you will get this reference 😁) but after reconnecting to Ms. Connie via her book, I, too, am inspired!
The other about this memoir is that I learned new things about Chinese history and made connections of history and news that I heard my entire life.
As someone who is disenchanted with modern news reporting, I finally see how we got here. As I stand on the shoulders of my Afro ancestors and the women who came before me, I feel confident about what lies ahead for the US in 2024 and beyond. Stay true to your mission and don’t forget to enjoy life, too, are my takeaways. Thank you, Ms. Connie. Your memoir has been a healing balm for me. 🙏🏾🩷

Helpful for a new pre-diabetes diagnosis

I have listened to Dr. Fung’s “Obesity Code” and have eaten mostly low carb and intermittent fasted since 2017. For the last few years I have not worked out consistently and my weight increased so maybe that led to a recent pre-diabetes diagnosis. I was shocked to say the least. So I read this book to see what I was missing. Finally understanding how the cells and insulin work has made all the difference. I have gone from fasting 13-14 hours per day to longer fasts of 16-19. I am still working my way up to longer fasts. Also, I am back to working out. My father was diagnosed with diabetes in his 40’s and I remember hearing back then it was reversible. He didn’t make that choice. Fortunately he has done better than I imagined he would but still I don’t want that path because he finally got on dialysis when he was 80. My goal is to age well and healthily. So if I have to intermittent fast for the rest of my life to do so, then so be it. Thank you for this wealth of information, Dr. Fung. And I loved hearing you read your book. Nice personal, touch!

I love Tara’s work and figured I would give this meditation a go as my morning mindfulness. I got such a wonderful breakthrough on a major theme of feeling flawed. The RAN method as given me the opportunity to look at this limiting belief with such loving kindness that it is now listened. I feel lighter and happier. Giving thanks to Tara and for this practice.

Fierce Self-Compassion is filled with wisdom and practical application. As a result I feel so much better in my life, am being my own Mama Bear, which I need more than ever at 53 years old. And it inspired me to complete my mindfulness teacher certification so that I can start teaching MSC to women in my community. This book is a national treasure. And the narrator is amazing. I totally forgot that it wasn’t Dr. Neff. All around great book and listening experience.

I am a former fitness instructor who is working to move past a mental block for exercise. I decided to use this meditation to help me.

I have used it off and on for a year and today feel like I finally got my breakthrough for staying consistent with exercise.

It has helped me make the internal shifts that are required to stay consistent with exercising.

I am also a certified hypnotherapist and know that true change comes at the values level…not behavior. Today when I listened I finally feel internal value for exercise and its benefits in my life.

It took a while to release the negative association I have for exercise so I am glad that I have continued to return to this meditation. I am ready to get back to my workout routines so that I take good care of my body!

Before perimenopause and now menopause, I could fall asleep and stay asleep with ease and zero effort. After both, I have to put in a lot of effort and attention to falling and staying asleep.
This deep sleep subliminal is my latest edition. I have used it for about a month and it works like a charm.
I usually attempt to fall asleep without listening to it. When I can’t fall asleep, I turn it on and am usually asleep in the first few minutes.
I only use when I wake up in the middle of my sleeping if it is not close to time to wake up because it does make me sleep deeply, which is so yummy, but not good if it’s within a couple of hours of me getting up.

I love this track so much and am grateful and better for it.

Joel is one of the best hypnotists ever

As a hypnotherapist, I can tell you that Joel Thielke is one of the best. I found him after I first started using hypnosis and my life has changed for the better as a result.
Old habits have fallen away and I make progress towards my goals, one of which is menopausal weight removal.
I use his hypnosis and subliminal tracks to help me change bad habits and establish good ones easily and effortlessly.
If you don’t understand the subconscious mind, then at the least follow his instructions and use each track for at least 21 days straight before you dismiss these subliminals.
I recommend you use the subliminals and hypnosis programs together. They really do work.
I will update all of my reviews when I hit my second goal.
My first was to drop under 180 lbs…I have accomplished that. My next goal is to drop under 170.
Joel’s subliminal and hypnosis tracks combined with walking, moderate exercise and food tracking are my weight donation tools.

I am a new entrepreneur who is learning lots of new concepts and does everything in her business. There are days when I play these tracks all day and when I do, I am able to stay focused. I also notice the difference when I don’t use them. Just keep this playing as you go about your day as background noise. You will definitely have more focus and better concentration.

As a certified hypnotherapist, I love Joel’s subliminal and hypnotherapy recordings. I combine both the subliminals and hypnotherapy tracks and have gotten more peaceful (using tracks like Karmic healing), slender and successful (especially in my business).

Most people have no idea how the subconscious mind works and therefore many Audible listeners don’t understand Joel’s tracks.

Joel knows what he is doing and will get results if you listen to the tracks multiple times.

Joel Thielke is a genius at hypnosis and at creating subliminal tracks. Ever since I started listening to several of his subliminal tracks, I have noticed a change in my behavior. I have used his hypnosis tracks for changing my behavior to create weight loss. I still needed a little help and decided to use his subliminal tracks such as this one. And now I am finally releasing The last few behaviors that have prevented me from fully embracing habits that will allow me to lose weight. Please be sure to listen to the opening track where he explains how the subliminals work. If I didn’t already love his hypnosis tracks and I didn’t listen to the opening track of the subliminals, I probably would dismiss the subliminal tracks as weird.
But as a new hypnotherapist myself, I can tell you that this man knows what he is doing and if you just keep listening to his subliminals combined with you making conscious decisions to create change in your life, shift will happen.
