Historia
Stephen A. Smith has never been handed anything, nor was he an overnight success. Growing up poor in Queens, the son of Caribbean immigrants and the youngest of six children, he was a sports-obsessed kid who faced struggles, from undiagnosed dyslexia to getting enough cereal to fill his bowl. As a basketball player at Winston-Salem State University, he got a glimmer of his true calling when he wrote a newspaper column arguing for the retirement of his own Hall of Fame coach, Clarence Gaines.

A New Respect
Revisado: 02-03-23
Great job Steven A. I really enjoyed hearing about his life and getting a better perspective of where he comes from. There were moments I was extremely inspired and motivated. I love the way he credits those who have contributed to his success. To hear the author read and tell his story made it even more enjoyable. Again, great job!

Historia
The Hidden Messages in Water is an eye-opening theory about how water is deeply connected to people's individual and collective consciousness. Drawing from his own discoveries, scientific researcher, healer, and popular lecturer Dr. Masaru Emoto describes the ability of water to absorb, hold, and even retransmit human feelings and emotions. Using high-speed photography, he found that crystals formed in ice reveal changes when specific, concentrated thoughts are directed toward it.

Interesting Read
Revisado: 01-18-23
This is different from other books that I enjoy reading, but I must say that it is thought provoking and there are moments when I say to myself, "that makes a lot of sense." Perspective is everything and there are some things in the book I did not understand, but much of the information changes your perspective about water. I enjoyed the book.

Growing up in the church, Kevin and Melissa Fredericks were taught endless rules and expectations around dating, sex, and marriage, but not a lot about what actually makes a relationship work. There were conversations that they didn’t know they needed to have, deep-rooted fears that affected how they communicated, and seasons of change that put their marriage to the test.
