The advice is great but the narrator has a lisp and it was just too hard to listen to him.

A great shifter story. O’Brien has written some great characters. An Italian shifter lives in San Francisco where she meets a forensic pathologist who has recently caught her partner, a police detective, cheating on her. The doctor is viscously attacked by a serial killer in Golden Gate Park but is saved by a wolf...wolves in San Francisco? The shifter and doctor have a unusual emotional connection, well unusual for a human, and fall in love. The story goes from there as they hunt for the serial killer. Mild sex and HEA

I listened to the Audible and followed along in the ebook. The narrator, Alexandra Wild, did a great job

Interesting premise, great characters, well developed storyline. It would have been more enjoyable to listen to if it had been told in half the time. Then to have it go to a second book to find out what the conclusion is - this Audible series is for someone who has plenty of time for pleasure reading!

There are great lessons to be learned here and it’s past time the women of this country learned them. Wambach has some powerful ideas.

A romance with good main characters but great secondary ones. Two women, a safety officer and a dentist, meet and fall in love but their families are what make this another Robin Alexander success. The niece of one woman meets the daughter of the other, both high school seniors, and young love blooms. The secondary characters are all eccentric, kind, and supportive. One family is a gay uncle, and Mother and daughter lesbians. The second family, well the second are Italians.

This book is a shorter read and is also on Audible. I synced them and followed along while I listened.

Assigned to protect her, an attractive Secret Service agent falls for the Presidents equally beautiful daughter. A deep conspiracy to overthrow the government keeps the agent and her detail busy protecting the woman she loves and the President from assassins. The main characters are rich, as are all the secondary characters. There are nine books, this is the last, and they are all filled with romance and action.

It’s a great series? Start from the beginning. All nine books are on Audible, the narrator, Abby Craden, is the best I’ve heard, she really brings the story alive.

Thanks to Radclyffe, the author, for a great romance and action series. Enjoy!

This is one of the better Essex book I have listened to. Maggie is an author who lives with her rescued animals on a small farm on the edge of the Allegheny National Forest. One winter morning she goes to the barn and finds a mute women hiding in the hay loft. The story unfolds from there and fate takes a hand.

It was so exciting to hear the struggle Maggie went through in a winter storm and on an icy river, like a Walt Longmire story (only Maggie does this in her wolf form). The narrator, Marina Barrett, was perfect for telling this tale. I recommend the Audible of this book as it brought the whole adventure alive. I was enthralled by parts of this tale.

What it’s like growing up a mixed race kid in South Africa.

I just finished this book and have to think about what happened. Trevor Noah, a comedian from South Africa writes about his Mother and growing up with apartheid to Nelson Mandela to the new democracy in South Africa. Noah is of mixed ancestry, his Father is a white man from Switzerland and his Mother is a black woman from South Africa. When Noah was conceived it was illegal for black and white people to have sexual relations let alone procreate. His Mother, Patricia, a strong, smart, independent, yet very religious, woman, raised Trevor to be strong and to have choices in his life. His story is about being different than the black South Africans around him and the good and bad that goes along with that. His Mom was a positive influence as he was growing up and he learned to appreciate most of the opportunities she made for him.

He describes what it’s like in South Africa, the different tribes and languages spoken there. Trevor went to private, mixed schools (blacks, whites, Indians, and Chinese) and he talks about his experience being awkward and poor in that environment. He writes about historic events and how these are viewed by black South Africans verses how other cultures see them. It was very interesting.

I listened to the Audible of his book as I read. Noah narrated and it was like he was telling me his story over coffee. His story opened my eyes to how the white South Africans were able to subdue the tribespeople into accepting Apartheid when blacks were 80% of the population. I liked this book and I think if you are not a racist you would find this book intriguing. I recommend it.
