Historia
The number one New York Times best-selling story about American Olympic triumph in Nazi Germany, the inspiration for the PBS documentary The Boys of '36, broadcast to coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 80th anniversary of the boys' gold medal race. Out of the depths of the Depression comes an irresistible story about beating the odds and finding hope in the most desperate of times - the improbable, intimate account of how nine working-class boys from the American West showed the world at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin what true grit really meant.

The epic and highly anticipated conclusion to the listener-favorite series that had countless Audible listeners (and employees) hooked from the very first Bob - featuring, as always, a flawless performance from the inimitable Ray Porter. Being a sentient spaceship really should be more fun. But after spreading out through space for almost a century, Bob and his clones just can't stay out of trouble. They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct.

An incredible book that everyone should read
Revisado: 10-12-20
Everyone in this country should read this book. This country was established and built by immigrants including refugees. Being American means we uphold certain values, including helping refugees. People forget that even if they themselves may have been born in this country, many many years ago, many of their ancestors came here as refugees. This administration’s atrocious policy and rhetoric toward refugees betrayed the value of true Americans. More stories like what this book tells should be told. Public should be educated and informed. It was difficult to read this book because of all the tragedies and traumas it describes. I almost gave up reading it because of the pain I could feel for people who suffered in the stories. But I am glad I finally finished it. So grateful for the writer of this book and for the two plus heroines portrayed in this book.

Revisado: 06-05-20
I enjoyed so much about this heartwarming stories. I cannot wait to listen to the next one!
I listened to Dr. Trout’s other two books about his own life and career as a veterinarian, and this is the first fictional story of his I listened to. It is the same level of mastery of beautiful story line and language. I love Dr. Trout’s books.

Many beautiful stories about what pets could teach us
Revisado: 05-28-20
I could not say enough about how much I was touched by the beautiful stories in this Dr.Trout’s book. The love and pain of owning and loving our pets also can teach us lessons. True love is to love someone including our pets the way they want to be loved, not how we think it’s the right way to love them. How profound it is to realize this from the experience with our pets. I loved all Dr. Trouts’s books. This one is no exception. Beautifully written. Heartwarming. And Memorable.

Great narrating; a lot of mocking of liberals
Revisado: 08-19-19
The narrtor was outstanding. However, as ingenius as the story is, I found it overwhelmingly sarcastic about liberal views, such as the mocking of health insurance for all, a key piece of Obama Care, the mocking and insult toward Joe Biden and Obama. Toward the end, it became obvious that the writer is using the sarcastical theme of the story to make fun of the democratic president Obama and his vice president Joe Biden, the healthcare insurance reform, and all liberals in America. I tried to not take it too seriously and not to take it too personally. However, the level of sarcasm is over the top and felt a bit offending.
So I googled the writer, and found this quote from Wikipedia: "Larry Correia (born 1977) is an American fantasy novelist, known for his Monster Hunter and Grimnoir Chronicles series. In 2014 and 2015 Correia was one of the leaders of the Sad Puppies campaign to nominate works for the Hugo Award, including his own in 2014, that he believed were more popular but often unfairly passed over by voters in favor of more literary works or stories with progressive political themes." I guess that may explain where the mockery came from. Well. It's free country with the liberty of free speech. This is the first time I encountered political views being waved into a sci-fi fictional story.
