Historia
Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely travelling further than the pantry of his hobbit-hole in Bag End. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of 13 dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on a journey ‘there and back again’. They have a plot to raid the treasure hoard of Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon....

Indeed. The best Tolkien reading I've ever listened are the Serkis ones. He's great. Indeed.

A very good and useful book

I'm currently relistening this audiobook for, maybe, 5th time already. A lot of useful tools to work with, and big help in expanding of my understanding how ho`oponopono really work.

Historia
What is it about Middle-Earth and its inhabitants that has captured the imagination of millions of people around the world? And why does Tolkien's creation continue to fascinate and inspire us eighty-five years on from its first appearance? Beginning with Tolkien's earliest influences and drawing on key moments from his life, Twenty-First-Century Tolkien is an engaging and radical reinterpretation of the beloved author's work. Not only does it trace the genesis of the original books, it also explores the later adaptations and reworkings that cemented his reputation as a cultural phenomenon.

Everything is great, but everyone knows, that The Rings of Power series by Amazon was and still is a disaster. At least author could mention the controversial nature of this series.

Perfect, but too short
Revisado: 03-10-21
Nobody told me, that this is an ABRIDGED version. Martin Shaw is an amazing narrator and I've enjoyed every second of this audiobook, but... at some point I noticed, that the stream of events is going too fast. Then I realized, that some parts of the book are simply cut from this version of the story. The full-scale audiobook should be 11h+, but this is twice as short. I was very disappointed in the end.
