Historia
When summoned to Georgetown, South Carolina, sisters Mariah Clark and Sabrina Holland both assume their ailing grandfather's health has gotten worse. Neither expects their grandmother's undeniable request—save the family restaurant. Mariah is at a crossroad in her life. After being dumped by her husband and forced to walk away from their diner that she helped rescue from bankruptcy, bitter feelings consume her. Even though the restaurant has been in the family for eighty-six years, giving her all to another struggling business isn't something she wants to do.

Their relationship made me miss my sisters who are both deceased. I love the fact they were able to reconcile their differences. Great story telling.

Historia
Revelation chapter 6 clearly says that God's wrath begins at some point after the midpoint of the Tribulation. That means Christians will be here for the first four or five years. In Wrath, the first in a three-book series, D. R. Roquemore follows a fictional family in Texas who discovers the truth about the Rapture. Their story begins a few months before the start of the Tribulation period and follows their attempts to survive the rise of the Antichrist and the subsequent wars and famines.

In this first and only collection by a masterful storyteller finally taking her rightful place in the canon, Oliver’s insightful stories reverberate into the present day.

Incomplete stories
Revisado: 07-10-24
I like endings. I don't want to finish a story not knowing what happened to the characters. I like the author's style and she makes me relate to the stories of the Black migration, segregation, and integration. However too many of them left me feeling sad afterwards.

A Mother Will Do Anything for Her Child
Revisado: 03-13-24
I can relate to the lifestyle detailed in the story. I had an Auntie who wrote numbers and sewed. I had a father who worked multiple jobs tirelessly. I also went to Howard Univ and encountered the colorism of our culture, and the rejection of our racist society; sad but true.
