Historia
Throughout history, arguments for and against the existence of God have been largely confined to philosophy and theology, while science has sat on the sidelines. Despite the fact that science has revolutionized every aspect of human life and greatly clarified our understanding of the world, somehow the notion has arisen that it has nothing to say about the possibility of a supreme being, which much of humanity worships as the source of all reality.

Better the first time
Revisado: 10-07-22
There are strong points made but upon another listening i found some deeply flawed logic based on assumptions that are not necessary or justified. For example: “For God to exist, he must be perfect”. Why? This is a concept imposed by Judeo-Christian thought but not otherwise logically a requirement. Surely Zeus was not perfect. The author presents strong material from a strictly scientific standpoint but falters a bit expanding beyond that.

Would Be Hilarious If Not True
Revisado: 09-18-22
When you consider the facts that Mr. Borowitz brings to light, your first impulse is to cringe, but after awhile, once it becomes clear how determined and ingrained it is in the MAGAt crowd to drag us kicking and screaming into a stupidity hellscape, it’s almost impossible not to throw one’s hands into the air, accept the fact that we are being driven into oblivion by a full and seemingly irreversible embrace of stupidity and just kick back and wait for the inevitable obliteration, having a laugh and looking for the merciful asteroid. The Redumblican Party is the end of the world as we know it, and somehow I feel fine. Mr. Borowitz makes that journey fascinating.

Historia
Best-selling author Chris Mooney uses cutting-edge research to explain the psychology behind why today’s Republicans reject reality - it’s just part of who they are. From climate change to evolution, the rejection of mainstream science among Republicans is growing, as is the denial of expert consensus on the economy, American history, foreign policy, and much more. Why won’t Republicans accept things that most experts agree on? Why are they constantly fighting against the facts?

Interesting but lost me a bit toward the end
Revisado: 11-18-21
Very interesting observations, but toward the end when the author delves into the statistical details of their experiment, it lost me a bit. Would have been more useful sticking to layman’s terms vs. rote statistics.
