Historia
Ever since a shred of shrapnel did a number on his brain's sleep center, Even Tanner has been awake 24/7. This gives him more time than your average underachiever. Time to learn the world's languages (he's fluent in Basque, but has trouble with Chinese). Time to embrace the world's lost causes and irredentist movements (The Flat Earth Society, the League for the Restoration of Cilician Armenia, the Society of the Left Hand).

Needs editing
Revisado: 09-29-19
The reader of this book needs to take some editing lessons, I’m noticing several errors where the reader stumbles, backs up a sentence and tries again, and they left it in. It is quite distracting. I’m sad by this, as I love this book, but the reading takes me out of the story

Historia
From Tokyo, to London, to Johannesburg, high-level bankers are being gruesomely tortured and murdered. The killer, caught in a fleeting glimpse on a surveillance camera, has been described as a psychopath with an eye patch. And that means Gregor Volkov, Derrick Storm's old nemesis, has returned. Desperate to figure out who Volkov is working for and why, the CIA calls on the one man who can match Volkov's strength and cunning - Derrick Storm.

NOT up to the standards of Richard Castle!
Revisado: 06-30-13
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
The writing was predictable, overly descriptive when it didn't need to be, and worked too hard to build drama, when less words would have done a better job. The Character Names were rediculous, and NOT up to the standards that I have come to expect from Richard Castle in the other 5 books I have listened to.
Has Storm Front turned you off from other books in this genre?
I will try ONE more Derrick Storm novel, and if it similar to this schlock, I will swear off Derrick Storm for good. (If I listen to a new Nicki Heat novel, and it has taken this kind of a turn, I may just be done with Richard Castle all together.)
What aspect of Robert Petkoff’s performance would you have changed?
I would have changed it to Johnny Heller, whi, in my opinion IS the voice of Richard Castle. I LOVED his performances on ALL the Heat novels, and the Storm short stories. I was VERY surprised that it was a different performer.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Storm Front?
A LOT of the needlessly long technical descriptions, the drawn out fight scenes, the stupid mistake of walking across the street to get Volkoff with NO plan, in spite of his love interest begging him to have a plan. A seasoned professional investigator would NOT do that. Those are the kind of ridiculous things that make me not care for this book at all.
