Historia
In the stirring, highly anticipated first volume of his presidential memoirs, Barack Obama tells the story of his improbable odyssey from young man searching for his identity to leader of the free world, describing in strikingly personal detail both his political education and the landmark moments of the first term of his historic presidency - a time of dramatic transformation and turmoil.

Can’t wait for the conclusion!
Revisado: 08-24-23
The story of an incredible man having an incredible experience. It showcases Barack Obama‘s capable, compassionate, principled and intelligent leadership and is a reminder of the exceptional gift we had as a nation when he was our President. The detail behind the stories as well as his thoughts as it happened bring you into his experience, which for me was, unmatched in memoir. You don’t have to be politically affiliated in order to appreciate his story telling and experience.

People vs. Donald Trump is a fascinating inside account of the attempt to prosecute former president Donald Trump, written by one of the lawyers who worked on the case and resigned in protest when Manhattan’s district attorney refused to act.

Fascinating look into an investigation
Revisado: 02-25-23
Of course the view into Donald Trump’s criminal culpability drew me here. More interesting was the detail behind the headlines and the methodologies used by the investigative teams. I went in thinking Trump should have been indicted and feel more strongly than before it should happen. Even if you don’t, the measured, thoughtful investigation and effort to put the pieces of a complex subject together is worthy of your attention.

Why can't we solve our problems anymore? Why do threats such as the Gulf oil spill, worldwide recession, terrorism, and global warming suddenly seem unstoppable? Are there limits to the kinds of problems humans can solve? Rebecca Costa confronts - and offers a solution to - these questions in her highly anticipated and game-changing book, The Watchman's Rattle.

Brilliant Analysis
Revisado: 09-17-19
A through and thoughtful analysis as to how our society has become what it is. It also has thoroughly researched historical examples of times in human history that have reached this fulcrum and the legitimate perils of our current situation. My favorite part is the action and mindset that can save us.
