If ever a movie was to be made from the books in this series, The Council of the Cursed would be ripe for adaptation. It is filled with twists and turns and action that make it one of the best in the series!

Typical Grisham. strong characters and story and a nice rise in tension. But the climax was unsatisfying and the denouement was far too long. What started as a thriller turned into a cozy and really into a snooze.

Great content; horrible reading.

Not every author should read their own work and this is an example of that. Mr. Rao reads way too fast in a monotone voice and his voice drops off at the end of sentences. Often the most important word of a sentence, such as a name or a key concept, is at the end, so this interfered with my understanding and enjoyment of the book. But I still was able to get quite a bit out of it, and it is was good. I would recommend reading this one rather than listening to it.

The Best of the Series!

This series is wonderful and this book is the best of the bunch. I tried to consume it slowly, to savour the delicious writing, but I ended up binging and feasting. Couldnt read it fast enough. It us THAT good!

Taking Benedict's Name in Vain

Rod Dreher wants to use Benedictine spirituality to preserve wealthy straight white men's hold on knowledge and power. This is not the way of Jesus Christ and it is a misuse of St. Benedict's rule. Benedictine spirituality is beautiful and holy, and it would undoubtedly be beneficial for more Christians to make use of it. This book is not the way to go about it, nor does it provide good reasons to.

One of the funniest books I've ever read.

This book is not tor everyone. The humor is absolutely filthy and profane and scatalogical and borders on pornographic. But it made me laugh, often, and it is one of the most original comedies I've ever read. Of course, I dont usually read books with quite so much wanking and bonking, and this is the first book I've ever read that refers to dragon spunk. Oh yes -and knockers. Magnificent knockers. Need I say more?

This is equal parts biography, history, and nuclear science. The level of detail is exhaustive and thus this book is best for the serious student. This us the definitive book on this topic and with our world again on the brink of nuclear war, it is more important than ever before.
