Coaching royalty
Revisado: 04-22-25
I'm not a big basketball fan as it's not played in my country but watched The Last Dance on Netflix and was intrigued by Phil Jackson.
Amazing to learn more about him and how to deal with people/players. Wish more people had his way of managing/coaching.
Inspiring, great book.

Refreshing SEAL book
Revisado: 10-29-24
I really enjoy books written by SEAL's but this one was a bit different. Nothing to do with buds or hell week but instead a crazy story of being a mercenary. Something different and liked it.

Throughly enjoyed this book by Rassie, very insightful and set straight in his unique manner. Wished the narrator was a bit better, especially the pronunciation of international names. Highly recommended.

Aside from neglected equipment, ageing power stations and an eroded skills base, he discovered that Eskom was crippled by corruption on a staggering scale. De Ruyter takes the listener inside the boardrooms and government meetings where South Africa’s future is shaped, with ministers often pulling in conflicting directions, and candidly reflects on his three years at the power utility.

First came the man: a young wanderer in a fatigue coat and long hair. Then came the legend, as John Rambo sprang from the pages of FIRST BLOOD to take his place in the American cultural landscape. This remarkable novel pits a young Vietnam veteran against a small-town cop who doesn't know whom he's dealing with - or how far Rambo will take him into a life-and-death struggle through the woods, hills, and caves of rural Kentucky.

Historia
A vivid, heartbreaking portrait of the fate that so many African countries suffered after independence. The dictator who grew so rich on his country's cocoa crop that he built a 35-storey-high basilica in the jungles of the Ivory Coast. The austere, incorruptible leader who has shut Eritrea off from the world in a permanent state of war and conscripted every adult into the armed forces. In Equatorial Guinea, the paranoid despot who thought Hitler was the saviour of Africa and waged a relentless campaign of terror against his own people.
