Historia
In the tumultuous town of Yáquimo, Santo Domingo, Jacquotte Delahaye is an unknown but up-and-coming shipwright. Her dreams are bold but her ambitions are bound by the confines of her life with her self-seeking French father. Was this written by an AI?
Revisado: 07-29-24
The last time I came to Audible for a new book, this was highly recommended as a great listen. It’s not. I listened for over 4 hours, hoping that the story would be engaging enough to overcome the hackneyed text, but finally just stopped it and deleted the download from my phone. If it wasn’t composed by an AI, the author must have been using Word tips, or some other writing advisor because sentence after sentence is a simplistic and trite declarative. There is no energy or heart at all in this text.
Do not recommend at all.

Historia
Jane Carver is nobody's idea of a space princess. A hard-ridin', hard-lovin' biker chick and ex-Airborne Ranger, Jane is as surprised as anyone else when, on the run from the law, she ducks into the wrong cave at the wrong time - and wakes up butt-naked on an exotic alien planet light-years away from everything she's ever known. Waar is a savage world of four-armed tiger men, sky pirates, slaves, gladiators, and purple-skinned warriors in thrall to a bloodthirsty code of honor and chivalry.

What a pleasant surprise

I don’t actually know how this ended up in my Library, but I’m sure glad me did. Yes, it is a sort of ripoff on Edgar Rice Burroughs John Carver of Mars, but who cares? They were good books and this one is good too. The story is tight, fast paced and entirely entertaining. Highly recommend to anyone that likes SciFi or fantasy. It’s friggen ARCH from end to end.
