In this book, I explain how to make soap and give you a few simple recipes too. But I hope that is not why you bought this book. My goal is to explain how to create great natural and organic soaps and not just make soaps. There is a difference. You will get to see that difference when you understand each of the ingredients and how they interact and react with each other. You will not have a great business if you are just making carbon copies of a few soaps of other people which your customers can go buy from any local stores.

Horrible Narration

This is a prime example of why authors shouldn’t produce audio for their own books unless they have lots of experience. Easily the most atrocious reading I’ve listened to on Audible. I only stuck with it because I was very interested in getting to the marketing and sales sections towards the end. I had put the candle making book by the same author in my Wish List, but it appears to be narrated by her as well. Think I’ll pass.

Both George Orwell and Winston Churchill came close to death in the mid-1930s - Orwell shot in the neck in a trench line in the Spanish Civil War and Churchill struck by a car in New York City. If they'd died then, history would scarcely remember them. At the time, Churchill was a politician on the outs, his loyalty to his class and party suspect. Orwell was a mildly successful novelist, to put it generously. No one would have predicted that by the end of the 20th century they would be considered two of the most important people in British history.

Entertaining and informative

Churchill and Orwell is a wonderfully entertaining and informative read, with in depth descriptions of their personal and public lives. Only in chapter 15 did the book go off track a bit, when the author took to criticizing modern politicians and conflicts, seemingly for no reason whatsoever, drawing little to no correlation between the subjects of the book and those for which he suddenly decided to share his opinions about. Other than that, it’s great. And the producer gave a splendid performance.

Chain Saw Confidential is both entertaining and informative. If you’re a horror movie buff, it’s a must read. The performance by Gunner himself was a little lacking, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience of the book.

You can almost hear the music...

Black Heart Boys’ Choir is expertly written and the narration is superb. For a story that revolves heavily around classical music, Lawson was somehow able to make it all understandable and enjoyable for the musical layperson. Overwhelming creepiness and nihilism drips from every chapter. My only possible criticism would be that I began to really dislike the main character as the story went on. But I believe this to be intentional, given the direction the plot was going. Overall, it’s a great read or listen. Highly recommended for fans of Thomas Ligotti and Bret Easton Ellis.

Wow! TRESPASS doesn’t take long to get your heart thumping and your nails digging into your palm, and then it never lets you relax. Chris Miller is a master of suspense. And Tim Halligan delivers flawless narration. TRESPASS is highly recommend, unless you have heart problems!
