Great listen. The narrator was probably my favorite part, I love the way she dramatized the story.
The story overall had a few plot holes and left out little details that would have made scenes flow better, but overall it was cool. Can’t go wrong with a story about a vengeful girl boss Queen.

Steve is a gifted writer and uses story to convey history in a tone and tember that's a pleasure to listen to. Learned a lot. Enjoy the style.

When I refer to this book, I call it the “Old Testament of the Targaryens”, as it perfectly sums up the histories of the family Targaryen. It was very formal, yet held my attention throughout. Loved this book and will forever love Prince Daemon.

Where to start?
George Eliot, also known as Mary Ann Evans, has a way with words like no other of her time. We all know the Jane Austen’s, Bronte’s, and Alcott’s of those days, but I don’t believe there was an authoress quite like Ms. Evans. I think a word to best describe her works is “authentic”. Anyone reading could clearly tell she wrote straight from the soul, how else would her words be so concise? She has a true skill of writing exactly what she intends the author to imagine or understand, and I’ve never read a book like it. I could vividly picture each seen, feel each of the protagonist’s thoughts, and empathize with constructs I will never experience in my day. I feel nothing but utter respect and awe for Mary Ann Evans. She, and her writings, are one of a kind. Please give this book a listen!

Ah, Matthew.
I mean I knew I liked the guy from the few movies I saw of him - Interstellar, Dazed and Confused, The Wedding Planner. Heck I even secretly enjoyed his Lincoln commercials. But this? I dare say this may be his best work yet. I think the most critical part of my assessment of this masterpiece is that it’s straight from his soul. I liked him when it played a part, but I like his real self a whole lot more.
This isn’t your ordinary autobiography either. It’s just a play-by-play of pivotal parts of his life; how he discovered truths that we all discover some time or another, but still crucial things to come back to. Definitely a wise man. Not wise by nature, but wise from experience.
This’ll definitely go on my list of books I would definitely read again. Heck, I’d probably notate it too. Good read. Good narration. Good topic.
Just keep livin’ ya’ll.

I listened to this on the heels of Northanger Abbey, a book that wowed me in every way.
Mansfield Park, however, is as definitely not my favorite. The main heroin, Fanny Price, was frustrating at times in her complacency and lack of confidence, and most of the other characters didn’t seem to have many redeemable qualities other than the fact that they were written by Jane Austen. But all in all, the story managed to hold my attention. It was very bittersweet - there were times where I found my heart aching for our dear heroin, and others where I rejoiced with her equally. And though she was very diffident, Fanny Price’s story still deserves a listen (I admit I finished the book in under a week!).

From the moment I met Catherine, I knew I would love; just like the moment I met John Thorpe - I knew I would hate him, and hate him I did.
This novel was brilliantly written, full of hilarious one liners, heart-wrenching discoveries, humorous political jabs, and truly lovable characters. If only we could all have amiable friends such as Eleanor and Henry Tilny, yet it seems as though there will always be Isabelle and John Thorpe’s.
Definitely recommend the read! Especially if you’re traveling - I listened to it on my drive from Grand Teton National Park to Rocky Mountain. It held my interest the whole entire way!
