If you love the era of Back to the Future, Tron and Electric Dreams then you will enjoy this short story. It’s a snapshot of early teenage years back in the early 80s. It hits the nail on the head for anyone who grew up back then. I love how the author describes the micro-tribes and how kids coalesced around their favorite computers. Mine was the C64 and I can really relate to these stories. Thanks for this wonderful little story. I really enjoyed it!

I read this book for the first time back in the early 1990s and I loved it then. I also purchased the mini-series on VHS. I saw that there was a video remake coming next spring so I decided to revisit the story again. I watched the 3 hour miniseries on Amazon and listened to the book again on Audible. The film is pretty good but the book is amazing! The forward by Stephen King really sheds light on King’s inspiration for the story. While the version of Barlow in the miniseries was scary, I really like the original. He evokes images of Bella Lugosi’s Dracula with a bit of Gary Oldman. If you are looking for a great vampire story, you can’t go wrong with Salem’s Lot!

Riveting personal story of a unique man

I don’t usually read much non-fiction but having watched The Crown on Netflix as well as the series converting Prince Harry and Magan, I wanted to know a bit more. I purchased this audio book unaware that Harry was the narrator. Harry’s narration gave it a personal feel that made this book riveting. The press coverage of snippets did not do this book justice.
Learning about Harry’s personal journey from the man himself gives such perspective on life as a royal. He deeply loves his country, his family and most of all his wife and children. His life is significantly overshadowed by the death of his mother and almost every aspect of his life is impacted by her tragic death.
Harry’s relationship with his father and brother is impacted by their dedication to placating and cajoling the British press. As I said, he loves his family, but is frustrated by their behavior and they are of his because neither Harry or his family can come to terms with the real cause of their strife.
This is a good book and one worth reading/listening to. If you are interested in getting an honest, inside view inside royal life rather than just what the media pushes.

This is a love story but it is so much more. The detail and character development endears all the characters with the reader such that you feel as though you are one of the companions on this journey. Where other authors choose to serialize their stories, this massive tale does not leave you hanging only to have to purchase more. It has a satisfying conclusion that brings all threads together. it's worth the time invested.

While the name "Vortena" does have a significance in this third epic story of the adventures of our favorite "mimic", this story is more of an "evolution" of the character. It's a really fun romp as we find our protagonist having escaped Edward the Spy Master and on mission from "god" that will allow him to regain his lost jobs. The characters in this volume are a lot of fun and this is just one more irreverent romp that turns the normal order upside down. If you enjoyed the first two books, this one will leave you wanting even more! I can't wait for Neven to publish the next installment to see what our "hero" does next and if Edward and his cronies catch up.

The House Next Door is a good story with enough plot twists that it managed to keep the story surprising and entertaining. If you enjoy thrilling ghost stories involving haunted houses this one doesn't dissappoint. The ghost is great and all of the characters have enough depth to allow you to feel a connection.

i really enjoyed this story. I read Lovecraft's Necronomicon a year ago and though it is a bit slow and challenging this book is not. this book pays homage to the Lovecraft source but still manages to be fresh and well paced. I also enjoyed other subtile nods to famous authors such as Bram Stoker. Horror fans will find a familiar place in these pages but with a fresh enough story to compell you to reach completion.
