Engrossing

Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys historical fiction. Engrossing, and enlightening on a global and, more importantly, on a personal level as we see the characters’ daily lives.
As mentioned, the narrator was generally quite good, but his use of apparently Irish accents for some characters, rather than German, was so strange that it was actually a bit confusing!
In spite if this, i would highly recommend!

My daughter listened to this and highly recommended it. So glad I got it, too- what a great story and performance. Narrator’s voice was perfect and I couldn’t believe how the time went by!

Ok. Story but unfortunate choice of narrator

Would you try another book from Jessica Keener and/or Amy Landon?
I would give the author another try.. I think the story itself had an interesting premise,but stopped listening because of t h e really distracting cadence of the reader.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Never got to the end.
