This book is well written and well read.
A true classic.
Not predictable at all.
Deeply moving.
It is one of those brilliant books you can read 100 times and be touched every single time.

Historia
Charlotte Graham is at the center of the most famous kidnapping in Chicago history. The FBI and local cops found her two abductors, killed them, and rescued her, but it took four long years. The fact that she was found just three miles from her home, had been there the entire time, haunts them. She’s since changed her identity, found a profession she loves, and rebuilt her life. She’s never said a word — to the cops, to her doctors, to her family — about those four years.

Never again
Revisado: 02-22-22
It is the first time I listened to a Dee Henderson book but never again.
The descriptions are forever. Everything is in overdrive - the amounts of coins, cash, diamonds so much that it has the feel of a fairy tale.
And just by accident the main character has a friend who is a FBI agent.
On top of that it is super predictable.
Everyone is super nice - except the criminals.
The narrator is very mediocre. The lady voices all sound the same - very meek.

Well written as always
Revisado: 02-15-22
Francine Rivers is my favorite author.
This book is well written and I love the story even though it is not her best work ever.
I do miss the stark originality of THE LAST SIN EATER or the intense emotions of ATONEMENT CHILD.
Still, this is good reading - or listening - material.
Thank you, Francine, for producing another entertaining book worth listening to.

Why condensed?
Revisado: 01-16-22
I read this book many times.
It is one of the best books ever written.
Why, oh why did you left out portions of it?!?
It took away from the relationship between Christy & Neil. And some other parts. It is heartbreaking.
Will have to read it for myself to satisfy my soul.
The narrator is great except for the part where David and Neil is in conversation and, with no difference in tone, you don't know who is saying what...
Still, great book!

Too good to be true

I usually love Nicolas Sparks' books but this one is just too far-fetched.
The male performer is also a bit unnatural.

Too little of Anne
Revisado: 10-09-20
This is a lovely story but we hear so little of Anne and her family. If this is about Anne it should center around her and her family.
But still a wonderful book and very well read.

Revisado: 09-26-20
Everything about this performance was wonderful except the narrator who has a listless lifeless voice. The characters performed so well. The story is brilliant. But the narrator! Oh my goodness! Please use another one.
