When Gwendy Peterson was twelve, a mysterious stranger named Richard Farris gave her a mysterious box for safekeeping. It offered treats and vintage coins, but it was dangerous. Pushing any of its eight colored buttons promised death and destruction. Years later, the button box reentered Gwendy’s life. A successful novelist and a rising political star, she was once again forced to deal with the temptation the box represented. Now, malignant forces seek to possess the button box, and it is up to Senator Gwendy Peterson to keep it from them at all costs.

Can't keep politics out of anything these days...
Revisado: 07-19-22
Was so exciting to hear a story from another floor of the tower. I just wish Stephen King and Richard Chizmar wouldn't have tainted an already epic adventure by inserting current political crap into the storyline... Would have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the politics they couldn't help themselves in inserting into this book. They did it a little on the last book too, but there was no mistaking their feeling on the current political climate in this one.
I don't understand King sometimes. He sold out in making the movie for the Dark Tower series and it flopped, and now with how much politics has ruined in the entertainment industry already, he allowed it to creep into a branch off of his masterpiece. He's an incredible writer with some amazing stories. It doesn't make sense to me.
Other than that it was a good book. I'll always be fond of anything to do with the tower.

Must read for understanding Trumps agenda!
Revisado: 06-16-21
Listen to this book!!! Trump wrote it In 2011 during Obama's first term. It explains in great detail the reasoning behind President Trump's agenda for America and the WHY behind everything he was trying to accomplish.
I wish I would have listened to this sooner. Honestly, every candidate for Federal government should publish the details of their agenda and the reasoning behind it the way Trump did it in this book!
I wish so bad that we could have seen what he could have accomplished if he wasn't stonewalled by congress and beat up by the media all 4 years that he was in office.
If we were to implement even half of the agenda outlined in this book America would arguably be better than it has ever been in its history.
If you had a hard time understanding Trump or his ideas give this book a chance. What he was trying to do for us, and why, versus how the media covered it couldn't be more off.

Perfect example of the American Dream
Revisado: 12-07-20
This Man deserves to be remembered so much more than he is. His life and philosophies were the perfect example of what the American dream has to offer if you are willing to work for it. My hat is off to you Mr. Washington. I wish your lessons were more alive and well in today's society. it would fix a lot of our current issues.

Historia
The culture of “safety” and its intolerance of opposing viewpoints has left many young people anxious and unprepared for adult life. Lukianoff and Haidt offer a comprehensive set of reforms that will strengthen young people and institutions, allowing us all to reap the benefits of diversity, including viewpoint diversity. This is a book for anyone who is confused by what’s happening on college campuses today, or has children, or is concerned about the growing inability of Americans to live and work and cooperate across party lines.

Revisado: 04-22-17
This book taught me so much about my bad habits and how they affected the woman I loved most. It's crazy how unprepared we are for what it takes to grow in a healthy relationship. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with someone they love.
