Loved this book. Fun and quirky. A comment on women’s lives, what we do and how we are/were programed.

Seriously a terrible book. Just wrong in sooooo many levels. Gross. Ignorant. This book needs psychological help. Maybe the author didn’t really understand the plot? The characters? The POINT? Just don’t.
If you can, drop this book, pick it up with tongs, put it in a mail sleeve and send it back to the publisher. They should be ashamed.

A wonderfully lovely story. I enjoyed the entire book, except the epilogue. Made me sad.

Absolutely loved this story! At points the location was briefly difficult to picture, but the story is unique, interesting and completely pulled me in. I wanted it to be an entire book, not just a short story! Or one of a series about the main character! Johnathan, if you are reading this, would you write more on this little girl? Please?!

The story has an interesting and promising premise, but the character development and their interactions are not synced. It feels like 3/4 of the middle of the story is missing. Sort of like the author just wanted to get to the end fast.

Really enjoyed the book. The reader was good, but I thought that the songs should be sung, not just read. A small part of the story seemed a little forced, but otherwise it was really enjoyable. I am really hoping they are going to film a movie.

When I first began to listen, I thought that the way it was written, as if listening to a video/audio diary was cleaver and fun. But the main narrator definitely did Not have the right voice or talent for this book. The delivery was over-acted by everyone and sounded like extremely “green” performers. The beginning of the story was interesting, ie: a secret letter, a secret test, secret “benefactor”. But then it all went rolling down the hill of insipid and eye-rolling. The characters written by the author are “thin” and not fleshed our very far. Added to that, they are suppose to be in seventh grade. The author obviously did Not consult with anyone who has or knows middle schoolers. NO NO NO NO NO... these are obviously high school students. From the way they talk, to their freedom to “roam” to making all of their own life decisions. I kept listening, hoping it would get better. Nope. At moments I found my mind wandering and when I backed up the audio, turned out, didn’t miss a thing. I got to the point of just wanting to get through and finish the book. It started dragging on in the end, seeming like the author couldn’t decide which ending to choose. I am just happy that it was a fairly short book/quick listen. And I am Extremely glad that it was free.
