Mispronunciation Central! For Shame!

I love Penny and her stories! I love Russian lit! The female narrator totally killed this for me! Who in the world casts these people?! Does anyone listen and provide edits?! You can’t mispronounce Karamazov in a book that features Russian Lit! So many mispronunciations and her voice just makes the complexity and wit of the female lead sound like she’s a 12 year old ninny! I couldn’t finish it which is a shame. Maybe if this was re-recorded with suitable voice actors.

After listening to the first book and falling in love and devouring the second, I am left desperate for more! The writing is so cleaver and funny! All the characters are so endearing and engaging! I could see this turning into an ongoing series and I really hope it does! It reminds of a cross between Eureka! And Lost Girl. Can’t wait for more!

I haven’t had this much fun listening to a book in ages! I’m just sad that it went by so fast! I loved the characters, the story and the performances. I wish the whole thing was flushed out a bit more but all in all it was cleverly written. To be honest I could really see this expand into an ongoing series or even a tv show in a la Eureka! Keep the books coming! I’m addicted!
