Historia
A part of Bryant Lavender died with his father's passing. The 13-year-old said his goodbyes to his father at the funeral but what he didn't lay to rest was the promise he'd made to his dad. He turned to God for affirmation and courage but he had to face some giants on his road to promise: Responsibility, negativity, negativity, doubt from people in his circle. And he had to learn how to get out of his own way to walk into his purpose.

Engaging story, although the first part of the book was more interesting to me.

Historia
This motivational metaphorical memoir reflects on the “fairly unequal” treatment of individuals in poverty. Not everyone knows the right person, have wealth or financial stability. It’s easier for some and harder for others. College is not guaranteed to save you. Continue striving to pursue your dreams along the way.
