Historia
Here is armed America - a land of machine-gun gatherings in the desert, lederhosened German shooting societies, feral-hog hunts in Texas, and Hollywood gun armories. Whether they’re collecting antique weapons, practicing concealed carry, or firing an AR-15 or a Glock at their local range, many Americans love guns - which horrifies and fascinates many other Americans, and much of the rest of the world. This lively, sometimes raucous book explores from the inside the American love affair with firearms.

Balanced
Revisado: 06-09-17
This is a terrific look at how the gun issue is posed in America today, bringing a rare balance and comprehension of both sides of the issue. It's the first piece I've seen that so effectively captures the many facets of the culture and brings the discussion into three dimensional context. Loved the author's perspectives, torn between two sides of the issues.

Historia
In 2009, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed at the Super Bowl's halftime show. The experience was so exhilarating that Bruce decided to write about it. That's how this extraordinary autobiography began. Over the past seven years, Bruce Springsteen has privately devoted himself to writing the story of his life, bringing to this audio the same honesty, humor, and originality found in his songs.

Outstanding, and You Don't Have To Be a Fan
Revisado: 01-03-17
Best celebrity memoir I have read. But it is a lot more than that, so I'm not damning with faint praise. Bruce can write. Really well. And he is a fabulous storyteller. I read the print book and loved it, but the descriptions, stories and insights came to life in Bruce's voicing. One of the best books I have listened to with the life that Bruce breathes into it. He is more introspective than you expect, and he is brutally honest, exposing a sensitivity that catches you by surprise. His exploration of his relationship with his father starts uncomprehending and develops to achieve a poignance that completely captured me because of how real it was. But that's not the reason to get this book. Get is because it is fabulous.

Historia
Anna Kendrick's autobiographical collection of essays amusingly recounts memorable moments throughout her life, from her middle-class upbringing in New England to the blockbuster movies that have made her one of Hollywood's most popular actresses today. Expanding upon the witty and ironic dispatches for which she is known, Anna Kendrick's essays offer her one-of-a-kind commentary on the absurdities she's experienced on her way to and from the heart of pop culture.

Anna Kendrick's Book is a Revelation!
Revisado: 12-03-16
Anna's book is smart and extremely funny, far beyond witty. From that I learned that Ms Kendrick herself is smart and fabulously funny. Hugely entertaining, part of the fun is trying to figure out at what point stories that begin with some basis in reality vere away from being strictly truthful. Her style gives the impression of a deeper look into her personality than you expect from an actor or comedian. Of course, with an actor of her caliber, I don't know if we are getting the real Anna Kendrick, but if this is really her, you want her to be one of your best friends. Her read is great, and it would be a mistake to read it yourself instead of letting her read it to you.
