Historia
The Malazan Empire simmers with discontent, bled dry by interminable warfare, bitter infighting and bloody confrontations with the formidable Anomander Rake and his Tiste Andii, ancient and implacable sorcerers. Even the imperial legions, long inured to the bloodshed, yearn for some respite. Yet Empress Laseen's rule remains absolute, enforced by her dread Claw assassins.

Read & listen to it at the same time!
Revisado: 05-16-22
This book was awesome! I took someone's suggestion and read the physical book along with listening to the Audible book. The combination worked and I was able to follow along (the maps were helpful lol). I admit, I was a little lost in the first chapter but once the action began taking place, I was able to place it on the map and keep up. The narrator was excellent but I had to speed it up because I read fast. I'm excited to continue the series!

Amazing History
Revisado: 01-05-21
This was a great book from beginning to end. It is fascinating, as a viewer, to see the journey of a man from skeptic to the "Cassandra of diplomats". I highly recommend this book.

more magic!
Revisado: 08-22-20
this book has more supernatural and magic happenings than in other books, which made me enjoy it more. there was one scene that completely impressed me and that was in the forest at night. the narrator was fantastic and the description was so clear, it got me spooked! this was a definite improvement over the last one and I hope it continues!

The narrator really makes this story come alive! Good story and interesting plot twist. The descriptions of the chocolate treats were amazing and I could picture them clearly in my head. I'm really happy I stumbled onto this series because mysteries are not usually my jam.

Historia
Since arriving in the tiny English village of Tillyhenge, Caitlyn is discovering that there are lots of perks to being a witch (although sadly, magic still can't make your thighs thinner or stop you acting like an idiot every time you meet handsome Lord James Fitzroy). But when the nasty housekeeper at Huntingdon Manor is murdered and Caitlyn becomes the main suspect, she finds herself surrounded by suspicious villagers. With the help of her sassy American cousin and a mischievous black kitten, Caitlyn sets out to clear her name.

Revisado: 03-04-20
this series is intriguing and the narrator is awesome! the plot twist was great and I enjoyed the scenes with the kitten, hehe, and also the brewing romance! 😍
but there was a moment where I had to stop and shake my head. the character doesn't know what a cannabis plant looks like? like, isn't her cousin a party lover? lol, it threw me off and I guess, in a way, that was a good plot twist, haha! it made her seem for a moment a bit too naive. overall though, I enjoyed the book and look forward to the next one in the series!

Revisado: 02-06-20
Wow! To be honest, I got this book because it mentioned a black kitten (lol) and magic. I have to say though, the story was surprisingly intriguing although I wish there were more scenes of the kitten, haha. The narrator did a great job - even mimicking someone speaking with their mouth covered by their hands!
The mystery was your typical murder but I have to say, the plot twist was pretty good. The characters were well developed and the story moved at a good pace. I'm actually interested in continuing the series even though mysteries typically are not my cup of tea. Keep that magic coming!

Willa Knight: Dweller? Bad-ass? Notorious pet to five magical beings? In Blesswood, there are rules, and someone is trying to teach her how to follow them. The only problem is Willa. Which shouldn’t be anything new, since she has been a problem since birth — something her pseudo-sister Emmy would agree on. So it definitely shouldn’t be new, but it is. Because things are starting to happen that have never happened before. Things are starting to get chaotic.

The narrator is awesome! This book was good enough. lots of action and definitely a lot of drama to make it enjoyable. main character is so dumb though and sometimes that made it difficult to keep going but the narrator pulled me through!
