Historia
Meet David Shallcross. Outstanding college athlete back in the day. These days, a highly successful entrepreneur, happily married, loves his kids. Only one problem. He’s a little…shall we say…bored. So he takes a flyer on some high risk investments…except it’s more than a flyer. It’s his entire balance sheet. He pushed all his chips to the middle of the table. And lost every penny. His wife? Furious. And rightly so, because he’s just gambled away his family’s financial security. And how does David feel?

Wake up call
Revisado: 01-12-25
Great quick read. Mike delivers a wake up call that I have specific unique human life value created through my experiences and skillsets and my relationships. Yes it matters to gain money and resources, but those things will come naturally to me as I build my human life value. The best investment I can make is in myself.

Historia
You live in a world that wasn't designed for you. A world where you're expected to sit still, stay quiet, and focus. Because of the way your brain is wired, you can feel like you’re failing at life. But you are not failing. You are awesome. Award-winning content creators Kim and Penn Holderness are on a mission to reboot how we think about the unfortunately named "attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder." As always, they are doing it by looking in the mirror, because they don't just study ADHD; they live it.

Revisado: 11-16-24
Penn does a great job of articulating the pros and cons of adhd. Having his wife chime in is clutch too. She provides a great perspective and shows how our choices impact others while
Showing the benefit of having someone in your corner who gets it.

Historia
Now, most people have heard of ADHD and know someone who may have it. But lost in the discussion of both childhood and adult diagnosis of ADHD is the potential upside: Many hugely successful entrepreneurs and highly creative people attribute their achievements to ADHD. Also unknown to most are the recent research developments, including innovations that give a clearer understanding of the ADHD brain in action.

I’m not crazy or broken, there is hope
Revisado: 05-12-24
Hearing that there is clinical diagnosis for some of the things that I have felt my whole life is liberating. I don’t feel crazy. I feel like there is hope and that I’m not a failure. Looking forward to continuing to progress through my journey with new tools. And a new perspective.

Historia
There are four characters in every story: the victim, the villain, the hero, and the guide. These four characters live inside us. If we play the victim, we’re doomed to fail. If we play the villain, we will not create genuine bonds. But if we play the hero or guide, our lives will flourish. The hard part is being self-aware enough to know which character we are playing. In this book, Donald will use his own experiences to help you recognize if the character you are currently surfacing is helping you experience a life of meaning.

Historia
"Who am I becoming?" That was the question nagging pastor and author John Mark Comer. Outwardly, he appeared successful. But inwardly, things weren’t pretty. So, he turned to a trusted mentor for guidance and heard these words: "Ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life. Hurry is the great enemy of the spiritual life." It wasn’t the response he expected, but it was - and continues to be - the answer he needs. Within this audiobook, you’ll find a fascinating road map to staying emotionally healthy and spiritually alive in the chaos of the modern world.

Do I have the courage to accept the challenge?
Revisado: 12-12-21
This is a great book. JMC has embarked on a worthy journey. His writing style is great. The content is great. There is a great balance of principles and actionable real life application. It all sounds soo good coming out of his mouth and it’s some thing I’ve strived for, but can’t break the grasp of. I pray for the courage to actually embark on this journey of counter culture and elimination of hurry. Thank you for writing this book and going down the path yourself. It is an inspiration.
