Enjoyable!
Revisado: 03-27-14
Would you listen to Multiple Blessings again? Why?
I wouldn't listen to it again, no, but it was very enjoyable.
What did you like best about this story?
It's hard to fathom birthing and raising 6-8 children, let alone sextuplets and twins. It's enjoyable to see what a life unimaginable is like.
Have you listened to any of Kate Gosselin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No, I haven't. Obviously Kate is not an actress or performer. But after a bit, you get used to her style of reading.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes
Any additional comments?
An interesting look back, especially when you know what happened later on. It's a shame, they really seemed to love eachother.

Got a little weird
Revisado: 03-25-14
What made the experience of listening to Allegiant the most enjoyable?
That I knew the characters already---I love me a series.
If you’ve listened to books by Veronica Roth before, how does this one compare?
Same style, it was good.
What about Emma Galvin and Aaron Stanford ’s performance did you like?
Consistancy.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I wanted to know what happened in the end.
Any additional comments?
I'm not sure I loved the ending. And, the story started taking a weird turn. I'm not sure I was on board with what seemed like political statements from the author being spewed into the story.

For the first time ever, Jennie Garth is putting it all out there, sharing her joys and her sorrows, her successes and her failures, with candor and a surprising, even bawdy, sense of humor. From her sudden rise to fame as a golden-haired teen beauty, to recently redefining herself as a single working mother to three growing girls, Jennie Garth has defied the odds and thrived in a town that can be more than a little tough on its blondes.

Nice person, no dirt
Revisado: 03-25-14
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Yes. It's a pleasant memoir to listen to, but she clearly didn't want to step on anyones toes. She didn't say much bad about ANYONE. There is no dirt in this book, no uncovered info about Hollywood, really, hardly "little known" info about Jennie herself.
If you’ve listened to books by Jennie Garth and Emily Heckman before, how does this one compare?
NA
What about Jennie Garth’s performance did you like?
I always like listening to the actual author perform the reading. Her voice was pleasant.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
No, sorry, it would be a movie consisting of her being nice to everyone and details being left out of stories.
Any additional comments?
She seems like a very nice person who was very aware that her children may want to read the book at some point, or that her former or current colleagues may read it. She clearly did not want to step on one single toe. So, unfortunately, it wasn't very spicy or energetic.

Historia
Tori Spelling is the first to admit that the "reality" behind her popular television show, Tori & Dean, isn't always real. Not even Star magazine could invent the true chaos that happens behind the scenes. Luckily, Tori is famously honest and self-deprecatingly funny when it comes to her personal life - she's always "Spelling it like it is". Tori here shares her stories, her biggest challenges, and more with the usual humor, candor, and down-to-earth charm that her fans love.

As usual, very cute and fun
Revisado: 03-19-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Spelling It Like It Is to be better than the print version?
Yes, I like hearing her read it in order to know exactly the tone she was going for.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Spelling It Like It Is?
Liam telling a woman he doesn't like it when Stella's pussy gets red.
Which character – as performed by Tori Spelling – was your favorite?
Tori, obviously
Any additional comments?
The only thing that irks me is when she says she has money problems when clearly she still has far more money than the average person. She is far from middle class and even in the worst of problems was spending plenty of money.

At 23, Ruth Saunders headed west with her 70-year-old grandma in tow, hoping to be hired as a television writer. Four years later, she's hit the jackpot when she gets The Call: the sitcom she wrote, The Next Big Thing, has gotten the green light, and Ruthie's going to be the show-runner. Holy bitterness!
Revisado: 08-29-12
Any additional comments?
I quite honestly may have read my last Jennifer Weiner book. I've read everything she's written so far, and I have to say that each book is more bitter than the last and this one is by far the worst.
I'm so sick of the soapbox/look-down-your-nose approach all her books take. She depicted every character in her Hollywood setting as a complete and utter sterotype, then basically took the approach that she, Ruth, was not like that because she wasn't skinny and had scars on her face. Gimme a break. It's like this with all Weiner's books lately. All the skinny people are evil; all the fat girls are intelligent and saintly.
I think Weiner thinks she is writing for this stupid "real women" genre (which is basically women who think it is okay to be fat) but she just comes across as bitter to me, and, before anyone goes thinking I'm probably beautiful and a size 2, I'm not. I'm a 5'4", and a size 10. AND, you'd even think I'd relate to Ruth more, because I have an unsusual and resistant case of psoriasis in which I have plaques all over my face.
What I've learned from my "plight" as a "real woman" is that no one is going to give me a prize for being chunky and having a disease on my face. It doesn't give me any right to look down my nose at others who have it better. The character of Ruth assumes things about others as much as she thinks they are assuming things about her.
Frankly, i'm starting to think that Weiner should put down the cheeseburger and drop a few so she is inspired to write more than stories about bitter fat people mixed with cheap political plugs.

Book great, narrator just okay.
Revisado: 08-29-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I'd probably recommend this audiobook to a friend. I wasn't in love with the narrator but the book was so good I could get past it. I really enjoyed listening to this at work.
What other book might you compare Where We Belong to and why?
If you like Emily Giffin's other books, you'll like this one too.
Would you be willing to try another one of Orlagh Cassidy’s performances?
I would most likely not try another Orlagh Cassidy performance. It would have to be a book I really really really wanted to read/listen to. I definitely wouldn't seek out any books read by her. I didn't like her performance as Kirby at all. She made her sound nasaly and rude most of the time. I didn't think it was portrayed how Kirby is really written. As far as her regular voice, I didn't like it much either. She sounded "old" and "teacher-y". As someone in her early 30s, with Marion being 36, I would've expected a younger sounding voice. Not this warm, grandmother voice.
If you could rename Where We Belong, what would you call it?
I wouldn't rename the book. It's fine.
Any additional comments?
At first, I thought I wasn't going to like this story because I was completely appalled by what Marion did, with the lying. She seemed to continue her life like that, and be someone who didn't face her issues. As the story continued, I did grow to like her, which was a relief. I can't stand a book where I don't like one of the main characters.
This is another great Emily Giffin book. If you like her work, you will like this book. I hope she writes another book about these characters. I'm about as attached to them now as I was/am to Darcy and Rachel.
