Historia
In Grace Abounding to the Chief of Sinners, John Bunyan recounts his inner thoughts as he grappled with his faith. Bunyan takes us through the struggle of his own sin and how grace led him from a conflicted conscience to a powerful preacher of the gospel. Modern listeners will find encouragement in Bunyan’s remedies for his own troubled conscience, as well as hope that God has used so greatly a man who struggled so deeply.

John Bunyan struggled to receive Grace
Revisado: 04-18-17
John Bunyan terrorized himself nearly his entire life because he struggled with whether or not he had properly received the grace of God. I found very little encouragement from this book, because Mr Bunyan didn't truly understand how simple it is to receive grace. My experience with God's grace has been dependence upon it, first and foremost, and from there, empowerment, freedom (from the power of sin), overcoming, stability, confidence (in God). John Bunyan's was nothing of the sort. He lived in fear, depression, anxiety, enslavement. There was so little in the book about the true power of God's grace, I really couldn't recommend it to anybody.

Rifqa Bary grew up in a devout Muslim home, obediently following her parents' orders to practice the rituals of Islam. But God was calling her to freedom and love. He was calling her to true faith. He was calling her to give up everything.

Historia
Gods at War illustrates a clear path away from the heartache of our 21st century idolatry back to the heart of God - enabling us to be completely committed followers of Jesus. What do Netflix, our desire for the corner office, and that perfect picture we just posted on Instagram have to do with each other? None of these things is wrong in itself. But when we begin to allow entertainment, success, or social media to control us, we miss out on the joy of God's rule in our hearts.

Historia
San Bernardino was the most lethal terror attack on American soil since 9/11, and it came on the heels of a coordinated assault on Paris. There is no question that innocents were slaughtered in the name of Allah. But do the terrorists' actions actually reflect Islam? The answer to this question is more pressing than ever, as many Muslim refugees are still migrating to the West, seeking shelter from the violent ideologies of ISIS, Al-Qaida, and other radical Islamic groups. In Answering Jihad, Nabeel Qureshi answers these urgent questions from the perspective of a former Muslim.

Thorough Enough To Help
Revisado: 04-26-16
The book was short and sweet, but did the job I assumed it was setting out to do. I wanted to know a little more about "Islamic Jihad" and its roots, whether or not Jihad is commanded from the Quran or superseded by a latter command, and ultimately what Nabeel(a former Muslim) thought was the best way to witness to/win a Muslim heart over to Christ. This book did all of those things, so I give it 5 stars.
