What does Roy Wells bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I did not enjoy the narrator as much as I have in other books but it was a passable narration.

Sculptress
Revisado: 09-18-15
What made the experience of listening to The Sculptress the most enjoyable?
I think the narrator was great, but the story was riveting to me.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes, it did. There were two mysteries going on at the same time, the old mystery and the new one created by the writer.
Which scene was your favorite?
Hard to say, the love story was lovely. But several scenes from the investigation and subsequent reveal were also.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
A different kind of locked room mystery.
Any additional comments?
This is a kind of timeless mystery that still leaves you wondering. I really like this author's work.

Cards on the Table by Josh Lanyon
Revisado: 11-25-14
Would you listen to Cards on the Table again? Why?
Yes, I already have listened to it a couple of times. It is one of my favorite short stories by Josh Lanyon. I really enjoy his work, and I think this is one of his best.
What did you like best about this story?
There are really two things. First is the mystery and how it gets solved and the second is the relationship.
What does Sean Crisden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Yes, I think it does. I am partial to audio books over reading but I have read this book so many times I have practically memorized it. Hearing it in audio is really a treat.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me laugh and feel sad at certain points. However, the fact that there is always hope that makes the book fun and interesting.
Any additional comments?
Josh Lanyon is one of my favorite authors so I am very biased about his work, that said, I really did enjoy this book in the audio format.

Criss Cross finds the ghosts surrounding Victor getting awfully pushy. The medications that Victor usually takes to control his abilities are threatening to destroy his liver, and his new meds aren't any more effective than sugar pills. Vic is also adjusting to a new PsyCop partner, a mild-mannered guy named Roger with all the personality of white bread. At least he's willing to spring for the Starbucks.

Criss Cross: PsyCop, Book2
Revisado: 11-25-14

It is very good. I think in a lot of ways asking this question is trying to compare apples and oranges. I love the book and the author. It is a very good audio of the book.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Criss Cross?
When Victor's body gets taken over by the ghost of his old doctor so that the doctor and help him put Roger out so that Vic can escape.
Have you listened to any of Gomez Pugh’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, I listened to the first in the series and it was great, also.

I don't know, it kind of describes part of it. The problem with his partner, Roger really gets caught up in the mess with the Criss Cross Killer.

Historia
Victor Bayne, the psychic half a PsyCop team, is a gay medium who's more concerned with flying under the radar than in making waves. He hooks up with handsome Jacob Marks, a non-psychic (or "Stiff") from an adjacent precinct at his ex-partner's retirement party, and it seems like his dubious luck has taken a turn for the better. But then a serial killer surfaces who can change his appearance to match any witness' idea of the world's hottest guy.

Among the Living@ PsyCop, Book 1
Revisado: 11-25-14
Where does Among the Living rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is right up there with the rest of the books I have listened to.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Among the Living?
I think when Victor zaps the succubus. He gets his bearings and goes all cop!
What does Gomez Pugh bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I think he brings an understanding of Victor's lameness and Jacob's finesse. It is so clear in the audiobook.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, but life interferes a lot. It is one I re-read and listen to so I can get the feel again if I have to leave it.
Any additional comments?
The Psycop Series of Jordan Castillo Price is one of my favorite series and I am so glad they are coming out on audio.

Isle of Wishes
Revisado: 04-08-14
Would you try another book from Sue Brown and/or Max Lehnen?
I don't know. I buy romance because I want a happy ever after. Real life is a lot harder to find HEA.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
If the couple had developed a plan of action to make a HEA.
Which character – as performed by Max Lehnen – was your favorite?
Both of the lead characters were sweet.
Did Isle of Wishes inspire you to do anything?
No
Any additional comments?
I don't like to do spoilers but maybe does not appeal to me and I wish they would let you know that when the book is described.

Deadly Wrong
Revisado: 06-02-13
Where does Deadly Wrong rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book is the second in Victor Banis' Deadly series and it is one of my favorites of his. It makes up for the ending on Deadly Nightshade and continues the series. I don't do spoilers but it is fun and Stanley is a hoot in it. Also, this vocal performance is much more in line with the characters. While I love the book Deadly Nightshade I did not particularly like the narrator. This really enjoyed this narrator and would highly recommend the book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Stanley
What about Guy Veryzer’s performance did you like?
I truly enjoyed it.
If you could rename Deadly Wrong, what would you call it?
